Unusual question about refillable mugs

This is not your ordinary question about the debate, but actually, I was wondering if anyone knows whether the mugs are dishwasher safe?? Also, if the bigger one says on the bottom, not to fill bottom with liquid, then why does the bottom come off?? I don't understand that!!! LOL!

They are dishwasher safe. I have many and put them in the dishwasher all of the time. I have no idea about the bottoms either.

Maybe they're worried about a steam explosion or pop out of the bottom if you microwave the cup and because there's a bit of water between the cup walls that's trapped?? Even if it was a minor pop out of the bottom it might startle you enough to drop hot liquid over yourself.

As far as dishwasher safe, we wash ours in the machine all the time and have never had problems.

Yep I wash mine too, but evetually the writing will wear away, so if that is important, I would hand wash them.

Ours have been in the dishwasher thousands of times,its taken 6 years to get some of the writing to wear off. When we purchased the first one at the Poly we were told the bottom came off so you could but your room key,money,etc. there. It's especially handy down by the pool.

Any of the refillable mugs I have ever bought and washed in the dishwaher have ended up with water inside the bottom part. You don't know about this until you go and pour a drink and the pressure forces the water out. It is not a pretty sight, lol.
