I bought round trip tickets on US Air for our wedding in March in Disney. THese tickets are non refundable and the change the reservation its at leat $100 fee plus the cost of the new flight.
We wished we decided to stay a little longer. If I do not use our current tickets would I lose them or can I use them for a later date? I never had to think about this before. I thought it would be better just to buy new tickets for the dates we want and hopefully use the old tickets at a later date but I don't know if that is possible.

you need to call the airline for that information in order to accurately get an answer... all seats are a different class along with being refundable and non refundable... The only way you can make this decision is to call the airline.

They are usually good for 1 year from original issue. So for example, if you bought them last August, you would have to travel by this August to use the credit. It's $100 plus any increase in fare. They do not give you credit if the new fare is lower.
