Hello,
I have some 5 day Park Hoppers that were purchased in 1997 with 1 or 2 days left on them. I know that they are not good towards AK because it was not open then... My question is can I trade them in on an upgrade for a new 5 day PH and will then deduct the days off the price and if so where can I do this at and if anyone has any experience doing this, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Yep, you can trade it in on a five day hopper, but its not economically a good deal. Here's why, when Disney figures out how much of a credit to give you toward a new ticket, they only give you what you paid for that day. So if you paid $175.00 for five day hoppers that you had 2 days left on, each day would be worth $35 towards a new pass. Thus, $35 x 2 = $70 off of a new pass. But new five day hoppers cost roughly $239 which means each day costs $47.80. By trading in the tickets, you are eating $12.80 for each day or $25.60 for each ticket. You are much better off just using the days you have on your new tickets and buying new tickets for the rest of your stay. Unfortunately, you will probably again have unused days at the end of your vacation.
