:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Still?? When Mikalah was smaller, we were at my moms house and brought out the vacuum, because she didnt believe us on how freaked she got about it. OHHHH MAN. It made us laugh just a little. I pulled it out of the closet and Miklalah jumped and crawled just as fast as her little leg could carry her and hid under the table. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We didnt even turn it on!
:rotfl2:

OK, well, he's not that freaked out by it. He just covers his ears and moves to another room quickly. :rotfl:

Now my kids jump up and down screaming in excitement. I think they like it because it is louder then they are. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's true, it is one of the few things that drowns out the sound of the children. I should run it more often just for that reason alone.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Cant you just see the vacuum running continuously in the corner? Oh yeah, my dh would think I had lost it for SURE!

OK, my new childrearing technique:

1. When the kids start getting loud, Mama turns on the vacuum cleaner until they quiet down.
2. When the kids start hitting each other, Mama turns on the vacuum cleaner until they stop.
3. When the kids don't pick up their toys, Mama turns on the vacuum cleaner until they're all picked up.

What do you think so far??? :yay:

I told dh t try to get the weekend off. I think I am getting greedy with his time. :rolleyes1 I dont EVER remember him having so much time off before. We are just waiting for his boss to start "suggesting" that he start working weekends again. I think with all that we have had going on lately, they are being really easy on him.

I know how you feel. When DH first started carrying a pager/phone and working at all hours, I was sooooo resentful of every interruption. I guess now I'm used to it, how sad is that?

Of course we haven't had a major crisis like you've just had, so of course it's natural to want to spend a little more time together. It helps, and means so much, doesn't it?

Most excellent. I find that if you vacuum their hair, you dont even have to wash it.. So there is one more use. :thumbsup2

OMG... So much. I know things are getting bad when I dread sleeping in the bed with him, because I havent done it in so long, that cant sleep when he is there. :lmao: But Lately, its like we are getting to know each other again. We were watching a movie the other night, and I was trying to think of that last time it was just us.. No kids. I dont remember! How sad is that?? I dont remember the last time I sat down, and hung out with my own husband. I have made it my mission to make sure that we at see each other and talk.. Just the 2 of us.

Another thing... Alex came home from school the other day, and dh was still up because Alex had a half day... Alex was so excited, he almost cried. I was shocked! We just havent realized what all this working has done to the family. I think we are going to reevaluate somethings..

Whne hubby and I worked opposite shifts, same place but never together or I would be his boss  .. we would leave notes for each other. Just a simple I love you and this was the high point of my day.. how was your day.. kinda note.. keeping tabs on each other. Some of the notes were really sweet and we did keep a few tucked away in my trunk.

Interestingly, hubby commented a few weeks ago that he misses those love notes :lovestruc

Something like that will just hit us right between the eyes sometimes, too. I couldn't tell you the last time we went out without the kids. It was at least a year ago, before our sitter moved away. GOSH, we adored her, and she adored the kids, she'd been DS3's daycare teacher in the infant room. She would walk in the room and the kids would go, "Yayyyyy!" :yay:

We need to find another sitter, it just seems sooo hard. I could probably go back to the old daycare and find someone, but not sure anyone the kids would know. It tends to be the younger teachers that do that sort of thing, and we haven't been there for two and a half years...

Dh used to leave notes for me on the front door when he left for work. Once, he took a whole role of post its and wrote I love you and put them all over the house!:lmao: Ahhh... Thats when we were first living together though.

I hear that! DH and I had our last "Date" when we went to Visit my mom... Last August? But I have yet to find someone here that I would trust to sit for my kids. I know before that the last time we were alone was when I was in Reno when my dad died and he left the kids with his mom so he could come to the funeral. Not much fun there...

I know that if my sis lived nearby, she would watch them no prob. Even my mom would! But NOOO!! They all have to live so darn far away! Reno, and SoCal are a bit far to go for a sitter. :lmao:

Wooohhoooo!! I double posted! Not as cool as a triple, but almost.

What is up with the DIS? Man it is hanging up a lot tonight!

Yep, I got hung up for awhile. I've had so much trouble with the network connection lately I wasn't sure at first whether it was local or the DIS. :rotfl:
