DH called while I was cleaning the bathroom, and said he forwarded an email about my former coworker's wife, who was having life support terminated last Monday. I should go read that. :(

Oh, and while talking to him on the phone I found the red lace lingerie on the floor. I need to hide that from DS3... :headache:

Well, I have definitely found step one of my new exercise plan...WATERING THE YARD!!! OMG I do not want to know what my water bill will be :faint:. Fortunately the original owners left a staging of four different water hoses, along with a super long hose at the end of the property (connected to some sort of odd water supply, but it give me water :yay: . I have been working on this for the past 45 minutes, and might be half way done :faint:

Thanks Alex  I think we need a family intervention when my parents return.
Wow!!
I just read this whole conversation!

I agree on every word of advice that has been mentioned here.

I know that your parents business can't be changed, and it's just impossible for them to be home more often. Have they ever considered taking your sister with them their on trips. She could do independent study. Then she could be with them, and experience the lifestyle there more often. I know that this is not an easy or cheap solution, but it gives them more time together.

Another thing I wanted to mention was the extra curricular activities that she has. I've been reading that some kids are just on too much over load these days. They feel that they have to keep up with their peers, because this is what the parents want. But the children really don't want all of this stuff. It's alot of pressure to do well in everything. And if your Sis is a perfectionist, then this might not be helping.

These are just some of my thoughts. And they might not relate to your family.

I sincerely hope your family get things fixed and soooooooooooon. Oh and your Aunt needs help too!!! :rolleyes1

Hey Steph!

How is DH lately??? :confused3

Hey Melody :goodvibes

DH is, well, I think doing better. The day that I posted that things were at their worst, I came home from work and he had bought a ton of Dr. Pepper and Ice cream (I swear he PMS's worst then anyone) and was has happy as could be. He is also going to try to eliminate any alcohol from his diet (he has trouble shutting down his brain at night, and usually turns to a couple of drinks), but I am afraid that the constant depressive every night is not helping either. We are also going to work on diet and exercise (plus or minus his Dr. Pepper :rolleyes1 ), and see if we can go with a natural alternative.

OMG I thought you were kidding
Mmmmm, I'm afraid not. :sad2:

I realize you don't know me well enough, but I'm afraid I don't lie, though on occasion I exaggerate if it makes a story better. For instance, it's actually a red lace camisole, but of course on him it looks like a slutty spaghetti-strap nightie. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Nah, the problem is I never heard the original story (I am guessing you would have had to tell that), but I did see the other night about too much personal information and if your 3 yo in the red lace would give you away to a lurker - I thought it was just an absurd example, I guess I should have known better  :faint:

Ahhh, gotcha. No, I went in to wake him from nap one afternoon (we needed to go pick up DS7) and got the shock of my life when he sat up and was bare except for a Pull-up and the red lace. :scared1:

He looked so adorable, and ... well, happy. :rotfl:

Well, I guess I didn't put it away, so the next day he was wearing it again. The day after that DH woke him. When they came downstairs and DS was in a t-shirt as usual, I said, "Oh, good, he's over the whole red lace thing", and DH said, "Not exactly, I just changed him before he came downstairs." :headache:

So now it's put away, and hopefully he'll forget about it.

I got a call from DS's school a bit ago; the school secretary said Ds7 was in the office and said he wasn't feeling well.

He'd complained this morning of feeling like he was going to get sick, so I sent him into the bathroom to sit awhile. After a few minutes he let out an enormous belch and declared himself all better. He said he was hungry, and he was behaving as bouncy as ever, so I fed him breakfast. I wasn't sure if he really wasn't feeling well or if he's getting to that age where kids start faking, you know?

So I told him that if he really didn't feel well enough to go to school, then he'd need to stay in bed and rest. He said, "Oh, Mama, I don't need to rest" and I said, "Well, if you're really sick, you do and you will." So he went to school.

he's home now, but not behaving quite like I'd expect a sickly child to be.

But he told me one of his friends threw up in class, and another came into the office while he was waiting for me, so I guess something's going around. :confused3

He's watching a cartoon DVD now and eating some toast with peanut butter. :confused3

Eek! I hope nothing is going around. I hope he feels better. :cheer2: My bf keeps getting sick because his work has no windows and no ventilation. The air just recycles and his co-workers cough and hack and just spread their germs around. He had a nasty cold last month and now he has bronchitis again. He's been to the doctor twice and was even given new meds to take but they don't seem to work. He tries to sleep at night and wakes up coughing for the longest time, to the point where it souds like choking. :( I hope he gets better.

I had that when I was in college, and my dad had it around the same time (though we weren't living together at the time.) I heard of something similar years later, but I can't remember now what it was, but it was kind of serious. If his meds aren't working, he needs to go back.

I didn't get treated for mine, and it took about 6 weeks to get over the cough. Ever since then when I really get laughing, I get this sort of wheezy honk that I never had before, so I think it did some damage. :confused3
