I like my music fast, and loud! It peps me up.
I like both. If I'm walking or cleaning, I like loud and fast, but if I'm relaxing (like reading the paper on Sunday morning) I like soft and pretty.

Hey, maybe I should put the Scorpions and Aerosmith on my ipod for those long walks to get the heart pumping. Heck, I wouldn't even necessarily have to walk for that, just crank the volume up all the way! :lmao:

I have everything on my iPod....disney songs, jazz, swing, pop, rock, etc.

I liked some of Aerosmith's songs in high school. I think they were popular back then because Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler were in the music videos. :rotfl2:

Just eating leftover casserole I made last night. I took hash browns (unfrozen), chopped sweet onions, chopped virginia ham, shredded cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper, mixed it together and baked it at 350 degrees for an hour. It doesn't taste bad. I saw the recipe online and wanted to try it. I didn't add butter like the recipe asked for though. :rotfl:
There was a Southern gal who was a friend of my aunt's, and she made something like that (without the ham) and the most gigantic ham, complete with pineapple rings and maraschino cherries. Rich, rich, rich! And YUMMY!!!

Wow! It sounds like a Norman Rockwell painting!!

I'm watching The Parent Trap on tv. Lindsay Lohan is so cute here and now she's scary. :scared:

Hey, go next week! :thumbsup2

We have one of those not too far away. The kids love it! Only problem is that they offer a preschool playtime, but no elementary one. So the only time DS7 gets to go is if someone has a birthday party there. It's a shame, because they just love it!

Ours is offering an Elementary Playtime during spring break. ;)

Andrea, honey, if you ever had the chance to listen to the two ipods, you would notice a distinct difference between the two.

One is silver, about the size of a thin cell phone, and the markings on it are very obscure. Instead of the earbuds there is a huge set of earmuffs hooked up to it, and the music is hard rock, some metal, some hip hop, R&B and a little rap.

the other is teeny-tiny, lavender in color, has delicate little earbuds (that I must get rid of in favor of something that actually stays in my ear), and contains the soundtrack for Sense and Sensibility, other romantic classics, and I believe some Enya.

Do you see what I mean?

Yes, I see!! I would probably listen to a little of both, I have my moods and my music usually goes along with it!!

We love Pump It Up also, used to take the kids there alot in before school aged because it's great for summers here when it's too darn hot to go outside with them!!! Burns lots of energy, and it's about 5 minutes from my house! But the prices have gone up considerably since then, which was 2003!

I have never seen such an enormous ham, and certainly not all decorated like that! It was like straight out of a movie!!! :lmao:

That casserole... WOW! My mom asked for the recipe, and she made it once. It was so rich we couldn't eat very much of it, though. I suppose if you cut down on the fat to make it less rich it probably wouldn't taste as good, though.

Sweet! I just checked ours, and of course they're not. It would be a great idea to do that, I bet they'd make a ton of money, especially since that age group doesn't ever get to go. :confused3

It's funny you mention that, because I was thinking we used to be able to take DS7 (pre-K age) for only $2, but the price now is $6!

I just need soda.. SODA!!

noooooooooooooo POP

there is a pharmacy tech class opening in Riverside next week and it is for 6 months...the cost is about $2500 and my aunt has offered to pay it for Tiffany if she wants to come down there and take the class and she will be able to stay there and not have to worry about anything but school but im really afraid...this is such a great opportunity and Im just scared tiff wont accept the offer...I know you are all thinking what a brat...she gets this offer and might not want to take it???? and you would be right but I have to let her do what she wants or else she is going to be miserable and I dont want her to have a "job" just to support herself...I want her to be happy in the decisions she makes and go to work every day and enjoy it you kwim?

Oh wow. That is a great opportunity. Well... You could tell her that she doesnt have to do the job FOREVER. But it would be a really good jumping off place. KWIM? She could go to school, get a decent paying job and if she DOESNT like it, she would at least be making enough money to go to school for something else. Does that make sense?

well she did want to get into radiology but according to everything we see you pretty much have to have a degree in like allied health or something which is basically being a nurse.....ok guys she is home and i need her to call my aunt so she cant see this...

ummm, I'm confused-- alllied health and nurse is really not the same... you can do radiology with an associate degree. Though I do know one of the colleges here is offering an allied health and then you transfer to a radiology program.. maybe that's what you found??

The problem is that most radiology programs have VERY limited spots to enroll. Odd considering the demand is HUGE for radiology techs. It pays VERY well for a 2 year degree (better than a teacher with a bachelor's!!!) My BIL is done with his general coruses and is searching out a radiology program-- 3 yr waiting list in his area.

Nursing is a good choice too! LPN (err LVN here in California) is a good step into the medical profession and there are tons of programs to choose from-- plus they have a special program thru the Riverside hopsital in MV to get an RN while working :yay:

medical field is a very good choice, lots of chances to take more courses and specialize in a new area. :goodvibes Besides, it comes in handy for those questions of.. can I take this drug with this thing??

she said YES...she said YES!!!!! im so happy you guys im going to cry:yay: :cheer2: :cheer2:

AWESOME!!!!

OMG... Its snowing at my house. I am not even kidding you.
Well come on up here. SNOW. It is now coming down in big fat fluffy flakes.

Ginat falkes of snow by chance? :lmao:

Ladies and Gentlemen!!! I have an announcement to make!! It's the end of an era here at my house. As of today, my boss gave me an extra 10 hours of work a week to do strictly from home (needed the moola, couldn't say no to that) and he officially ordered my HIGH SPEED INTERNET today to be installed in about a week! I am still in shock people!

I have never had anything but dial up at my house!!

Andrea

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Oooooooo! Prepare to be amazed!!!

There's just one problem with that. Once you've had high-speed, you can never go back. It's unthinkable! :sad2:

Ain't that the truth!!

OMG, the mental image of me pole-dancing cracks me up!!!

Lynn used to teach pole dancing classes!! She's the one that taught me all her moves! :yay:

Andrea

dang it andrea...i told you not to tell anyone...now they are going to expect me to give them lessons for free...:scared:

Yes, our park is loverly, isn't it!! Add that to the hyena dictionary please Bernice!! :lmao:

Anyone up for Lynn teaching us a class while there, sign up here:

erasing from dictionary

Hey... Im down for some pole dancing lessons. It really is the least I can do for dh since I will be leaving him with the kids for a few days.

wooohoo, add me to the list, gotta feed my DL addiction somehow when we move to MN.. oh yeah, I need to learn how to do it wearing mittens and snow boots.

The bottom of my page has an ad:
Scorpion Ringtones!

I kid you not, in big fat red letters!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OK, I think I've stopped hyperventilating now. And I really must speak to DH on his choice of music for a 3yo to listen to... :sad2:

You are soooooooooooooo funny!!
