Hmmmm...totally missed this one until Staley quoted it. Basically I had a REALLY bad childhood (if you could call it that), and my mom (evil as she was) was the only thing I had consistent in my life. At 16 she stopped coming home, and let me know that she knew I would grow up and find someone and leave her, so she would beat me to it. She married this perverted jack @ss who made me get a job (I was a scholar damn it) to earn my keep (but he DID NOT make his son get a job) Needless to say I rebelled and said screw it all (in a nutshell)

I guess I should also mention (as I did earlier) that I do not trust 99% of authority figures, as I can usually find legitimate flaws in them, but did not feel it my place to change the world or upset the balance of nature...so I decided instead to do nothing....

Ok....back to your regularly scheduled programming...
Wowwww. I had no idea. I'm so sorry! That absolutely sucks. :sad2:

So get to the happier part. How did you and your DH meet?

He would be a not so excited friend...

 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:rotfl2: Alright, I am marking this down (and I have witnesses). You too SO have to come up here sometime...you know when it is 120 and you shed the jacket...put it back on and enjoy our 90 degrees...it is absolutely beautiful, and as I told you before you can leave the kiddos with me and take Jeff to some sleezy hourly hotel (that was your preference)

Hey... What about me! I could really use a sleezy hourly motel right about now. :lmao: :lmao:

No problem, the beautiful thing is I don't care - things turned out beautifully in the most warped of ways, and I am glad I am where I am. DH and I met in high school and were great friends (friend friends, never ever would there be anything other then that). I would watch in amazement of the myriad of the girls he would date (in a practically innocent sort of way), and then after high school (he had baseball, I had well, this is a family board) we separated. After I got my third scholarship :rolleyes1 I dragged him to community college with me to be my debate partner, and then realized he had different feelings...well, really I had always had those too, but it would never happen :rolleyes1 ...and the rest is history :cloud9: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

She is drugged up (the doctor gave her an antibiotic and codeine), so she is sound asleep and fine :cool1:

:cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: Alright...goodnight guys :rotfl2:

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Shawna have you checked your

Ok fine...you should be on your way anyways...but I guess then I should be concerned who you are sharing your sleezy hotel with :scared1:
I have no clue what you guys are talking about  :rotfl2:
Ummm erectile dysfunction, my messed up childhood, the Dr. agrees and think my DS has autism...wow why do I feel like the center of attention right now...OK - NEW TOPIC (wait, I have nothing to do with the erectile dysfunction topic though)

No, she went to bed, overexertion
THIS is why I stalk her she is so interesting!!!
:thumbsup2 You know it baby!!!

The schedule thing was super important with him. It still is. with Autism/aspergers they have so much chaos inside, that when they have a super strict schedule it is SOO calming for them. It really helps them to have something they feel in control of.
This is the one thing I remember my friend saying, too, that they need a schedule, control, predictibility, consistency, things in order. Even the simplest thing out of whack or off schedule can send them into a tizzy.

This is a basic thing with all kids, they need to know what the boundaries are, and once they know them, they know where they fit within them. Growing up without any boundaries is very scary, because they don't know what is expected.

For an Aspergers kid, it's even more critical. So you basically need to be very disciplined, strict even, scheduled, organized with these kids.
