Wait!okay... my head is killing me, so I am going to hit the hay. night guys!

Wait!
I was telling you guys that DS7 asked me yesterday if Santa was real.![]()

I said what my mom said to me, I asked him, "What do you think?"
He said, "I don't think he's real, I think you and Daddy give me presents." I said of course we gave him presents, and so do grampa and gramma, uncles and aunts, etc.
He said, "No, I mean I think the presents from Santa are really from you." I asked why he thought that, and he said kids at school were telling him Santa wasn't real and it was really parents.
I said, "Wow. Well, I suppose there's one way to find out. If you don't believe in Santa, I suppose you wouldn't get any more presents..."
He suddenly said, "I believe in Santa!"![]()
That's too funny!!
Awwww! Yeah, that is a tricky age for costumed characters.I remember when I stopped believing in Santa. My older sister and I were little. I think I was 2 and then my dad rented a Santa Suit, got all dressed up and rang out door bell. I opened the door and freaked out my mind and cried and screamed and my dad had to pull off the beard to get me to stop.![]()

I didn't really want to tell him, but I also don't want him to be one of those geeky kids who are 12yo and still swearing Santa is real, you know? So I was very vague, which is just how my mom handled it. I wasn't sure for years (but was pretty sure he wasn't.)![]()
I want him to believe in the spirit of Santa Claus, like I do.
That's always a nice thought.
Wow! So what I really want to know is... What does this mean for the Ladies Only trip???They are going to do the surgery April 11. They are also looking at the appeal to get her ankle replaced again. Its a year later and more deterioration has happened so they think they might have a stronger case.
She's excited about Italy too. I told her over Pinot Grigio and lobster raviolio at Maggiano's tonight. she said it was a great anniversary present. And she wants to take Morgan too!

Good night, Shawna.![]()
Pix, I need to get to bed, too. Gotta get up at 7 to get the munchkin off to preschool. Still need to figure out what to do (for just a few hours) with DS7 that will be a little special.![]()
Good night!![]()
So Bernice I've been sitting here watching Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmer on the Travel Channel. He's doing a special on Minnesota. Very interesting, it looks a lot like Washington, except your water's already on the ground and ours always seems to be falling from the sky.
You didn't tell me about the meat lotteries! So have you ever won a package of meat???I think that is such a cool idea.
When Staley was showing us houses that she likes-- I looked at the pics and thought: Are u sure that's not in MN?? It's the pine trees..I remember reading somewhere that when people immigrated from Finland they chose MN or travelled on to WA, the pine trees reminded them of home.
My Sister, (the one who thinks you guys are men in disguise), she lives in Florence. That is a darling little town.

It was soooooooooooooo cool to see you on the thread again-- loved the dream sequence.. very entertaining.![]()
hmmm, never had a meat lottery-- was that at a VFW hall??![]()
Hubby thought your water comparison was spot onWhen Staley was showing us houses that she likes-- I looked at the pics and thought: Are u sure that's not in MN?? My dad lived in Walla Walla during the war, his dad was a machinist and worked on the Manhattan Project (Hanford) .. I alway wondered if my grandfather felt more "home" there, I know my dad loved going out that way on business trips and at one time considered having us move out there.
ok, that was a ramble.. glad to see you back and happy with your new "you!"
now poor Bernice and Betty will collect dust in your drawer![]()
I guess that would also explain the big Finnish population here!
