so i drove 45 minutes to get to the nearest disney store, and they don't do "it"
so now i haveta figure out a way to do "it" online without my mom finding out

i took her card so she can't do it herself haha

i have a feeling i'm ganna haveta tell her tho cos she'll end up finding out somethin weird is goin on. ehhh

That's really odd! There are 3 disney stores within driving distance of my house and they all carry those. I don't understand why yours wouldn't. Have you tried Vons or Albertson's? I've seen those there too but I suggest calling beforehand so you won't waste a trip.

I did some Christmas shopping after work today. I went to GAP and got some scarves. I had a $10 gift certificate and used it for those. Then I went to Old Navy and saw they had a ton of stuff on sale for $10!I rarely shop at Old Navy but this time they had some good bargains. I got nice women's hoodies for $10/EA for 3 of my younger cousins and one for their mom. Then I found a cute pink hoodie for Emilee for only $7.99! I also grabbed a cute scarf for her outfit. I'm not sure what her pants size is.....she's 6 years old but she's tall and skinny. I was afraid that the ones they had would be either too long or too short. I got a family friend a pair of pink slippers for $10. They have men's stuff on sale too. I saw a shirt that I was tempted to buy for my bf's brother. It's black and has a present on it and it says: "I'm Gifted" on the front! I should have bought it! I think it was on sale for $10. Heck, I should get one for myself!

I stopped by Walmart since they are now open until 11pm. Oh and beware of the grouchy employees during the night shift. I bought some gift wrap, t-shirt boxes and some gift tag stickers. I also got the last copy they had of Pirates 3 on DVD (on sale for $14.97). They were all gone except for one copy I found at the bottom of their display stand. The only ones left were the blue ray discs and the 2-disc set.

I'm glad I got some of my Xmas shopping done early. I don't like the malls at all (I know, it's hard to believe since I'm a girl). I know what I'm getting, which store it's in and I'm usually out in less than an hour. This is why I can't shop with relatives because they can shop for more than 3 hours!!

Hey guys! Sorry I havent been on lately. I've been passing out at night but then I wake up at 2am and read til 5 then go back to sleep til 6am. GEESH I would love to get some sleep!!! I'm seriously becoming my dad. He would wander around the house randomly in the middle of the night or watch infomercials endlessly. Sometimes I would get up and join him. I kind of miss that quirky habit he had.

How is everyone doing? Dh got his bonus taken away. YEP right before Christmas. These people SUCK. i'm so ready for him to get a new job. We just cant find anything that pays his salary now. UGH.

Jake is signed up for basketball and cannot wait til his team meeting this Satruday. He's so excited. Such a difference a year makes. Last year he was bawling. I hope he goes through with it this year because I think it will be great for him.

I got mine from the Orowheat bread outlet store. It was the Bob's Red Mill brand. Most stores are starting to carry it now in the natural foods or bulk section. Winco has really good Frito type corn chips with flax seed in them now and I've also seen cookies with it in them. It's very high in Omega 3 oils (just like fish) so it's good for your heart, also some studies show it helps prevent cancer cells from clumping together, and it is very high in fiber so helps prevent constipation. Recommend serving is 1-2 tablespoons per day for adults, 1-2 teaspoons per day for kids. You can add it to baking recipes, sprinkle in yogurt or applesauce, spread on toast with honey or PB, sprinkle on salads, add to cereal or oatmeal. You can buy the whole seeds and grind it yourself in a blender or coffee grinder like I do. They also sell flax seed oil, which you can make a salad dressing with, but it doesn't have the fiber benefit.

Many people that have had cancer are now eating flax seeds. It doesn't prevent cancer, but there have been a couple of studies done where they have 2 groups of people on chemo - each of them are fed 1 muffin a day, half have flax seed added and half are just regular. The ones with flax seed added had a 29% greater reduction in tumor size. They think it adds something to the estrogen hormone that keeps abnormal cells from binding together. But I figure it couldn't hurt to add it to my diet.

Geesh, I'm starting to sound like a Flax Seed Salesman!

We get Flax cereal and Flax chips from Trader Joe's. I really like that store.

How fun! I haven't been there in years! I used to like the E.T. ride that they used to have where E.T. would say your name at the end. Now it's the Mummy ride which is really fun too.

That sucks Shawna - was it just him with the new store - or was it everyone??? I know DH's company is trying to save money (with minimum wage increase, and less disposable income in AZ due to the housing market, I know profits are at a low) But they haven't messed with bonus -

Shawna, I'm sorry to hear that you are not sleeping well. If your lack of sleep continues, I suggest calling your doctor. The most important thing is that you need rest!

That sucks about your DH. I don't blame you for being upset. That really stinks!

GOOD MORNING HYENA'S!!!

I probably am going to upset the people who are renting the house to us...I called the electric company because our last bill showed zero usage (we were only charged the monthly service fee). She looked up the account, and there has been zero usage since last NOVEMBER!!! So they have been getting basically free electricity for the past year!!! I told DH sometimes I wish I was dumb and didn't notice things like that it would so save me a lot of money

Man Shawna... that blows. Dh doesnt get a bonus.. We get a turkey at thanks giving, and a $15. gift card at christmas. I hope you get some sleep soon!

We went to the laundromat today.. I stripped the beds and washed all the blankets and sheets... I love clean sheets and blankets!! Now I have a surplus, because Mikalah always barfs on my blanket... so I need tons of them, because it is always late at night she does it. Really... thats about it, I guess. Nothing exciting happened today. Alex woke me up at 6 to tell me he didnt pee the bed. That was fun. But at least he stayed dry... However... now that we have clean sheets... he will probably wet tonight!

I have to buy the idiot that my mom married a box golf calendar - I can order it through them for $6 bucks - but then shipping is $7....but....if I buy only $69 more worth of stuff I save the $7 shipping fee!!! (I know, fuzzy online shopping math)
