Invented a new smoothie tonight. Use the frozen tropical fruit from Costco (strawberries, mango, papaya & pineapple mix), throw in the blender with apple juice! It was tasty and good for you!

DD just got a new video & book on training for motocross racing. I've been lecturing her for years about eating better, but it fell on deaf ears. Now all of the sudden an "expert" is telling her to eat more fruit & veggies. A month ago she was complaining because I brought home flax seed chips, now she wants me to buy more flax seed! I guess there are worse things a teenager could get into than health foods!

So Seattle Hyenas did you have that wind storm today also? We lost a tree, small by our standards, about 50 feet tall, just an alder tree. But we had to move it out of the road before we could go shopping. The wind has died down now, but it's been raining like crazy all day long. If it keeps up I'm sure we'll have flooding by tomorrow.

I think we are supposed to get it tonight. We didnt even get any snow..

Guess where I am going on Tuesday morning?? On the train to San Fran for my annual Christmas shopping trip with my buds. So Pix you can be very very jealous of me, cuz right across the street from our hotel is Macys, Saks, Nieman Marcus, Bloomies, and Nordstroms!!!!!! Yes I will be shoppers heaven . Woo Hoo!!!!! And not to mention the biggest Juicey store in the states. What say you to that??

The dedicated shuttle, the yummy breakfast, the fact that everyone else is staying there... They are supposed to have really comfy beds.. the good rates we are getting. Plus, some of dhs friends stay there ALL the time, and they LOVE it! Oh, and a nice pool area for us to hang out in!

So Seattle Hyenas did you have that wind storm today also? We lost a tree, small by our standards, about 50 feet tall, just an alder tree. But we had to move it out of the road before we could go shopping. The wind has died down now, but it's been raining like crazy all day long. If it keeps up I'm sure we'll have flooding by tomorrow.

It was a bit windy here, but nothing big. Just lots of melting snow and rain, and clog storm drains. DH cleared 3 or 4 of them today.

Sounds like FUN!!!! Wish I was going... but NOOOO... I have to sit around getting yelled at by my mom. Apparently I am stupid, and know nothing about DL tickets.. Do you know what she is giving Alex for christmas? A park ticket. Now... I know that she is trying to be nice, and buy it so we dont have to. But COME ON!!!! Hes 5!!! I can see getting it as a gift for dh and I, now that would make sense to me. A 5yo doesnt understand that sort of thing. Not when he would be so much happier with a $5. Power Ranger.

I was playing aorund on Virgin airways.. I think that's what it was.. they have B1G1 sale on select flights.
We really considered flying from LAX to San Francsico in January-- it would be only $160 for all FOUR of us. Very Very tempting!!

I haven't been to the parks lately. I've been too busy at work and working OT. I'm going to put in a vacation request tomorrow so I can try to get some DL time!

But do you wear a Santa hat while shopping like DH & I do? We discovered a few years ago that it puts us in a much better mood while shopping. I found a cute new Santa hat this year at Target. It is red with black fur, very elegant looking. I got several compliments on it today! The only problem that we seem to have is on occasion someone will think we are employees of the store we are in and will come ask us questions or directions.

You should really try and go!! San Fran is a very fun city to go to. And you can probably get a good deal then too. We always stay right in Union Square, and just walk everywhere. And if you need transportation elsewhere just hop on a bus or trolley car.

It's so pretty!

I posted awhile back on the DL board, there are all sorts of little things that happen as it becomes dusk. The snow on the castle, the lighting of the tree on Main street, lighting of the mansion (HMH) and a very cool projection set to music at Small world. Just little things that make DL very special at Christmas time.

We went in the evening during our Thanksgving break, we usually leave the park around 3 on Sundays and miss all the cool night time stuff.. it was a rare treat and we loved it!

It is red with black fur, very elegant looking. I got several compliments on it today! Well today I wore a Leopard Santa Hat at the swamp meet so I am ahead of you there. I also think that if I wore a Santa Hat at Union Square, most folks would probably think I was some sort of a street performer and expect me to do some sort of dance!!!!!!
