Wow, a good sleeper AND gets himself out of bed? That kid is a dream!!!
DS7 whines and cajoles for me to let him stay up late, then has a very hard time getting out of bed in the morning, even if I let him sleep half an hour later. I usually try to get him up around 7, but it usually takes a few trips. I definitely get him up by 7:30.

Today he crawled out of bed while I was in the shower, and instead of getting dressed, he crawled into my bed with DS3. They snuggled a bit until I got out of the shower, then he went to get dressed.

OMG!!! They have found a link between working graveyard, and getting cancer. That is very odd.. I wouldnt have thought that your shift would do that.
I can see that. I found an article a month or so ago that said there is a link between heart disease and lack of sleep. (DH doesn't sleep well, between being on call 24/7 for work, having to get up at odd hours to fix problems, not to mention a wiggly 3yo in bed with us.)

Wow, when did "*******" become acceptable on network TV? I've heard it twice today on 2 different shows!

My kids have crazy sleep patterns! Alex has ALWAYS been early to bed, and then early to get up. He is in bed by 7 on school nights, and he is up around 6:30. Before he went to school, and on the weekends he is down around 8 or so, and up by around 7.

Mikalah, on the other hand? Oh the horrors of getting that child to bed! She would like to stay up til midnight, and sleep til noon!:lmao: Its like having a teeny tiny teenager!:lmao: :lmao: It seriously took me about 5 minutes just to wake her up. Not to get her out of bed, but just to get her to hear that I was even in the room! Once she finally wakes up, she screams at me... "NO MOMMY!!! Im sleeping!! GO AWAY!!":lmao: :lmao: It just cracks me up, because she is only 2! not 15!!!

:sad2: I know!! I get really flustered watching TV with my kids, everything is sex, sex sex. I dont mind swearing to much, after all... I tend to cuss like a sailor, but sex just freaks me right out!! (when watching something with my kids... not in general!:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Oh man, does that just make you FEAR the teenage years??? :scared1: :rotfl:

DS7 did ask me what was happening on some show I was watching. The couple started taking off their clothes, and hugging and kissing. I thought for a sec, then said something lame, like "Honey, they're happy to see each other again, so they're kissing." Fortunately the scene cut away before anything more happened, so he just said, "Ohhh, yeah." Whew! :rolleyes1

:lmao: Yes!! I totally fear her being a teen, she is sassy enough as a toddler!

I think Alex knows what sex is, or at least the basic premise.. but he ALWAYS covers his eyes as soon as the kissing starts. That is if I dont get to the clicker fast enough to change the channel! I almost always do, so he hasnt been scarred to much!! :lmao:

So... you may still call me chicken-neti. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

:lmao: I dont blame you!! I get freaked right out at the thought of pouring stuff in my nose, I cant even use nasal spray!! I cant put things in my eyes either, hence why I still wear glasses!

That's funny! I keep waiting for DS7 to hit the "kissing is gross!" and "girls are ewww!" stage, but so far so good.

Did I tell you he had a shared 4th birthday party with a little girl in the same daycare, and when we moms were party planning, they played dress-up? They came out with her in a cheerleader skirt and bridal veil, him in a red tutu (or is that backwards?) and they said they were getting married. So we grabbed cameras and said, "you have to kiss to be married!" So she grabbed Alex and laid a big one on him (and he let her!) It was sooo cute!

Anyway, so we joke about it occasionally, calling her parents "the in-laws" and so forth. And I'm not sure Ds7 knows they're not REALLY married! :lmao:

He says things occasionally that make me wonder. I can't remember if I've said anything to him about it not being real, just for pretend. But I think it's so adorable!

AWWW!!! I fear Alex is going to be like his dad.. That man was a real charmer.:sad2: When I was 8 months pg we went out for dinner, and he was totally flirting with the waitress right in front of me!! I didnt care much, I just wanted my pie..:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: ANYWAYS!!! Alex LOVES the ladies!! He is always talking to girls, and wants to sit with them on the bus.. He is always talking about some such girl being his girlfriend..:sad2: OY!! He really loves the ladies!:rotfl2:

I know. But I'm going to be kicking myself when I have a raging sinus infection. :sad2:

I'm seriously wanting to do lasik on my eyes. I HATE wearing glasses, though it's not as bad as when I was a kid. (I'm not sure if I'm less vain or just more resigned.)

I talked with the eye doc about it, and she gave me a lot of good info, and said if I wanted to follow through, there were 2 guys who were really good that she'd recommend.

Dh wants that, he seems to think that we could do it together. NOT ME!! I dont want it, but he is more then welcome to do it if he wants! But he has lazy eye, so I worry what will happen to him if he gets it done. I DONT want him to look like his mom. She has a lazy eye, and it is SCARY!! One eye looks at you, and the other one just kind of wiggles around, staring off into odd directions!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Alex was so scared of her her when he was a baby!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Holy cow, that would creep me out, too! Poor baby. :rotfl:

No, No, No... the best part is, she has no teeth!:scared1: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: The first time I met her, I was just looking at her like??? What the heck is WRONG with this lady? :lmao: Thankfully, DH got the looks in his family!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm looking for Transformers books for DS7. I am struggling to find something that keeps up his interest in reading. I figure Transformers might do the trick (and yes, they do have books!) I saw some on Amazon, but have no idea if they'd be too easy for him or not. So think I'll check out a local bookstore to guage for myself. Hopefully they'll have some!

I also picked up a book by the Fonz! It's supposed to be a humorous story about a young boy in his first play in school. Not sure if it's semi-autobiographical or not, seems to me the kid's name is Henry, but the last name is not Winkler. ;)

You should get it Done!! I had it done in one eye and now I don't need glasses!! (except to read, which eventually everyone needs)
