Untitled DL chat thread. Everyone is welcome! Part 12

OMG!!! Filling would be it! But Alex would definitely still leave him hungry...So he would need the baby as a chaser!



Okay... I am having some issues with Alex. He has recently reverted to wetting the bed. I am stressing on it, he started at DL, and has gone almost everynight.. I dont know what to do! He used to do it a long time ago, but he stopped for a long time. All of the sudden he is doing it again?

DS7 did that, too, at least two different times, maybe 3. People kept telling me that he must be stressed about something, or going through some major change or something. At first we tried talking about it, reasoning with him, telling him that he was a big boy and shouldn't be doing this.

I finally resorted to potty-training again. I told him after X number of dry nights, he'd get a prize (DH had a stash of Matchbox cars, and I think it was 5 nights.) Then after that I offered a bigger prize if he continued it, I think it was a trip to the zoo. After like 2 or 3 weeks it was over, but it did happen again maybe a few months later? It was very frustrating, and I just started over again, and it worked.

Trust me, it took 3 or 4 wet nights before I clued in!

I still don't know WHY it happened, or why it happened AGAIN a few more times, but I just dealt with it however it seemed to work, you know? The talking, reasoning, cajoling or scolding didn't do a darn thing. But "You mean I can have a car if I'm dry for 5 nights?" Done.

Oh things are just crazy! I am working two jobs so it ends up being more than one full time but it's going well and I finally got my first two paychecks last week! Boy that felt good.

Then Nathan turned 2 on the 20th so I had that party going on, Daniel checked into a rehab place so that's been interesting too. But he just got a job so I should be able to see some help from him soon which is a HUGE relief.

Other than that, just trying to keep up with everything and still hanging onto all my PTA tasks although that will probably end soon because I honestly cannot keep up much anymore. I feel like I am on Auto pilot most days, but for the most part, I am okay!!

Oh and Lauren went with my Mom to WDW for the last week of October!! She had an absolute blast and I am glad I did not keep her from going because of my selfishness. They had so much fun!

Things here are same as ever... Nothing exciting going on, just DH working every single day till thanksgiving, and then til Christmas.. But we leave for DL on the 20th, and my mom is meeting us down there..(oh joy. ) My sister was going to meet us, but her DH had a heart attack, so they arent going to be able to make it. And of course my mom is mad at me because they cant make it.. But nothing out of the ordinary... But dh and I have figured out that doing one big trip to DL a year is much more beneficial then doing little trips throughout the year... We had SOO much fun in October, and it was SOO worth the money staying on site!!!

He has been in there two weeks. It's really a great place, he lives there and meetings are required and such. He has a sponsor and they make you get out and get a job so that worked out well. I wasn't sure how I felt exaclty and only time will tell I guess. I still love him but everyday that he's not here gets a little easier for me to get through so I don't know that I'll want to go down that long hard never ending recovery road with him or not.

I am so glad you had fun in October, you'll have to tell me a few of the best details!! Sorry to hear about your BIL, is he okay now? It will still be fun, but I guess putting up with your mom all alone will be a task in itself!!

So what is this I hear about an all girls trip??? I am actually going with a friend in January to a scrapbooking convention in Anaheim!! With NO KIDS!!! So I will be at DL with no kiddos the last weekend in January if anyone wants to make it a girls trip that weekend???? The girls will be with my Mom in Mexico that week so a friend is keeping Nathan for me. I am so so excited.

nope we just stopped for gas i just wanted to be home , but we will be in vegas in feb. just me and my dh he is playing in a poker tournament there.

Wow!! If you don't have to stay with him the whole time, we could totally meet up and do lunch or some drinks one night!!! That would be fun!! Where is the tournament and where are you staying?
