Gift cards? You could do like a 5 or 10 dollar gift card for every one. Of course... I dont know how many people there are, so that could get spendy. Hmmmm...Do you bake? You make up a basket of things for everyone... Thats what I do.

That's good - maybe I will go for a bit of a combination of that. He has 16 employees - but I think I can swing it. We are spending a lot less money now, and right now we have no house payment - so it should be good. That and I got a surprise check in the mail today...I had already received the $300 homeowners insurance rebate, the $300 escrow surplus - but today I got a check - said we overpayed our loan (like we controlled it) - but the check was for $1200!!!

Hopefully he can relax on your vacation (dang n key is sticking now too - I miss my PC). I do hope though that he can get his hours reduced - I know you don't need to hear this from me - but he is scaring the heck out of me from all the way over here!

He will be fine as soon as he gets off work that last night. He gets off on the 19th, and doesnt have to go back til the 2nd of January.. So we will have a nice long vaca.! I told him that when he goes back to work.. he has to tell them he cant work so freaking much. It is way to hard on everyone!

How exciting! I have an awesome recipe for Persian Squares if you need it. They are so tasty they almost caused a riot the first time I sent them to work with dh! I do holiday bread, persian sqrs., fudge, peanut butter balls, and sugar cookies the kids decorate! Its a HUGE hit with the guys!

DH just called - he wants me to come to work as soon as I drop off Alec I guess one of his employees hemoirrods (sp.) busted and he is bleeding everywhere (remember too this is a restaurant)

I guess more hours for me - I can't knock the extra cash ...maybe now is the time to approach him on the ladies only trip

Oh, speaking of baking I made the best bread the othe day. It was beer bread and all it calles for was 2 2/3 cups of self-rising flour and 12 oz. of beer. It came out really tasty and was so easy to make. I'm going to experiment with pear beer or other flavored beer this weekend.

When the Holiday's come around I miss doing kid stuff like when we had DBF's DD living with us. I don't want to have any kids because I don't think I could handle a baby crying and changing diapers and stuff like that. How old are kids when they get potty trained? 3 or 4? Can I have a 4 year old instead?

generally around 2 or three... If you want, I can send you mine. SHes potty trained. in the next few months.. Changing diapers doesnt bother me... the crying does a tad.. Its the sassyness I hate. My kids are so sassy... the have points on their heads from standing int he corner so much!

I have never changed a diaper in my life. I haven't really ever held a newborn either. I'm kinda scared cuz they look so fragile. When my BFF had her daughter I didn't want to hold her and she's like "Go ahead, her head's not going to pop off!"

Oh, its easy! Newborns are very sturdy! trust me.. I had a 3yo and a newborn, and she came out all right! he thought she was his, and kept trying to grab her, and walk off with her! I was always around babies before I had my first, so even then I wasnt surprised by much. I have changed so many diapers... I could do it in my sleep. I know babies arent for everyone... But we luv em! Even dh is a complete sucker for them!

However... dh and I dont get any time alone. We havent had a "date night" In a long time, and having a 2yo is making it difficult to try for #3!

Ya, that is the one thing about not having DBF's DD with us, we pretty much pick up and go where ever we want to, when every we want to. If we want to stay out late at a friend's house or go away for the weekend or what ever, we can.

DBF doesn't want any more kids. I don't think I want any either, but I'm not 100% sure that in a few years I'll still feel the same way. So if that happens I guess we'll see what happens between DBF and I. KWIM?

Alot of my friends are the same age as me (I think we are the same age, 26 right?) and have 2 or 3 kids and I think wow, I really don't think I could do it right now.
