Ok I'm back, had to read what I missed and tell hubby that NOOO the pizza does not look done.

Yes the 2007 version of American Gladiators promises to be cool....
You will have to watch in January as we may be on TV.

We were in the back, where the gladiators fall into the water pit if the contestant scores, not in the main stage area.
But they took shots of people just cheering-- and we were in those.

I felt really bad for the femlae gladiator,Helga. Her target was shot, they pause to sit the safeties for the stunts (where she would be pulled backwards by cable and dumped into the water). During the pause she had them remo9ve her cbale and left the stage. She came back looking very upset, the producers talked to her and finally convinced her to do the stunt.
They pannned the camera on her before the stunt and she was nearly in tears.

The safety guys jumped into the pool right after she hit the water and got her out as quickly as they could. Apparently she can't swim :scared: -- it's scary enough to be hauled backwards and fly off the stage .. but not be able to swim in the deep water must be very frightening. A medic helped her off stage as soon as the shot was done. :guilty:

Cool... I see you have some new words to add to our dictionary...:rolleyes1 glad you guys had fun!:thumbsup2

I've never seen that movie. Is it funny? Did your DD sleep in her own bed tonight?

its cute..I have seen it so many times I could probably recite the dang thing!:lmao: and YES!! it is a very exciting time in our house!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Yesterday I hot glued together about 10 graham cracker gingerbread houses for kids to decorate. We invited the neighbor kids over, opened about 50 pounds of candy and 10 pounds of icing and made houses, while it was snowing! Snow didn't last long, but it was pretty while it was falling and for a few hours.

Today DH & I went to town and did a little more shopping. We also stopped by Lowes and picked up stuff for about 20 little home projects we have going on. Insulation for the attic above garage, carpet for garage, carpet tack strips for in house, new dryer vent, new tile for patio table, electrical plug for xmas tree, painting tape for I can reseal cabinets, winterizing stuff for garage window & door, water faucet winter covers, vinyl adhesive to fix floor in bathroom, new number for the outside of house (they only changed our address 2 years ago!). So are you sure you want to buy a house Staley?:rotfl:

I have something to go woohoo about...

Im got promoted within my department. training starts on the 15th of dec.

it also means you guys wont be seeing me on carts though. NOT as much though. I will still want to be on carts...

Next month we will be in the audience for Jeopardy - teen tournament.

Most of the studios require kids to be 12 and older, many of them are 18 and up only.. makes it hard to find ones we can see as family. Plus with the writer's strike.. can only see game shows (they don't use union writers).

Afterwards we went to Fairfax Farmer's Market and The Grove-- awesomely cool place to hang out and window shop. Pain in the butt to drive there-- badddddddddddddddddd traffic. And we bounced with glee when we saw the Hollywood sign-- yes we are geeks :lmao:

5,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FunnyG, what do 12yo boys want for xmas? So far we've gotten the one from our adopted xmas family a football, remote control helicopter, electronic dartboard and Uno cards. Any other good suggestions for that age?

Sounds better than my day spent at Target, Walmart & Lowes! But I did have a tasty lunch. We tried a new restaurant. I had salmon that was stuffed with 3 cheeses, roasted garlic and a little bit of bacon, with a cream sauce over the top. Yeah, I know what a way to take a healthy piece of fish and make it unhealthy! So I compensated by ordering steamed broccoli for my side. It was so YUMMY!!!!
