Dh mentioned that he found the Serenity papers online, a replica of the ones the use on the TV show, and since he is a HUGE fan, I though they would make a good stocking stuffer... He told me they cost like $30. no big, right? To bad they are like $120. I might have to rethink the whole stocking stuffer aspect of that! I think I will still get them, but jeez... That is alot of money for some papers!

Wow, that looks like a lot of work. Did you do the embrodrary yourself? DW acquired a machine a few months ago, and now EVERYTHING is having initials/pictures put on in. She put a pirate head on my jammies, and a moose, and bear!

yep it is alot of work esp with 5 kiddos under foot , that is why i am not chatting with ya hyena's all the time (like it is a top priority or something) i did do the applique, i am still learning how to do that so don't look to close what kind of machine did she get? i would love to put spongebob on my dh stuff (since that is his fav character )he would kill me , but a pirate head he would be okay with

Its a Bernina with a computer interface. She either uploads the pre-made design onto her computer, or makes one from a GIF or JPG, the transferrs it to the machine VIA USB (or thrumb drive)

ITs pretty neat!

Good Afternoon Hyenas! I can't believe I'm leaving for Cabo in 2 days! I think I should start packing tonight. This way I can double check everything tomorrow (to prevent from forgetting something). I'm so ready for this vacation.

Sun! Are you shocked??? Me, too!

I don't know what happened to all the snow we were supposed to get last night; the temps were pretty low in the evening, but I woke in the middle of the night and heard rain gushing through the gutters, so it must have warmed up somehow.

Kids are home from school, DH is working from home, DS3 is down for nap and DS7 is probably playing PSP.

So thought I'd leave the house.

I want to pick up some jeans that are on sale, and also a photo of the boys that I had framed is ready for pick-up, so want to do all that before traffic gets crazy, which around here starts in about an hour.

Pix, your trip seems to have come up so fast! I hope you have a great time.

On the Disneyland Photo of the Day thread there are the most beautiful Christmas photos of the castle, Small World and more! I got a Backstage Pass "magazine" in the mail yesterday (for AP holders), and it described the nightly transformation of the castle and the fireworks. I am so excited for those who are going to see this, it sounds sooo spectacular!

I'm enjoying Shawna's TR, and kicking myself for not writing one of our last trip. My reasoning at the time was that DS7 needed to turn in his journal to his teacher, so I sent my notes in with his journal so some of what he'd mentioned might make sense after all. Now I don't know if it's even worth the bother, would anyone read a pre-Halloween TR at the end of November?

Okay... so dh comes home this morning and plunks down a ginormous turkey. Its like 20lbs... WTH are we gonna do with that thing. I can do a small one, no problem! Its like cooking a chicken. But I want to make it special... What would one make for Thanksgiving? Alison? I know you have some ideas! Here are my thoughts...
Turkey
Gravy
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
Cranberries (yes, the kind that look like a can! )
and I guess a vegetable, huh? I know!! Roasted broccoli! Everyone loves that!
So... I guess I need to go to the store. I guess I should call my mom and get the recipe for the stuffing. Desert you say? Oh... I hadnt thought of that. Okay... well.. Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, and Mississippi Mud pie. Gag... I wonder... do I really have to call my mom, or are these recipes going to be online? Ahhh... Gonna have to buy cool whip. Need to make a list...
