Hey pix, why didnt Andrea and her kids go to MHT? I thought they got their tickets ages ago!

Anyhoo... They messed up dh's check AGAIN! What is this? 4 times in 6 months? Dont they get that they are playing with our lives here? They didnt pay him vacation time for 3 days that he missed... Screwing with his over time. He got one day of standard pay, and one day of overtime... When he should have gotten overtime, and double time! Jerks.... Whatever, he is just going to let it go, at least he still has all of his vacation time.

What is a Jesus bar?

It's the word my boyfriend and I made up for the bars located inside of cars (where people hang their dry cleaning from or hold on to). I call it the Jesus bar because I grab hold of it whenever someone drives crazy or scary

Tonight I'm having dinner with two of my closest friends. Last month 4 of us started a Girls Night Out, one evening a month. (We all have at least 2 kids, and the other 3 work FT at stressful jobs, so girl time and conversation is highly prized!) Anyway, one friend can't make it tonight, and another can't make it next month, but we're going to keep holding them as long as at least 2 of us can meet! Last month we ate and laughed and chatted (and each had one alcoholic beverage, which we are NOT used to!) and CLOSED DOWN the restaurant! I have never stayed at a place so long it closed with us in it!

Good! DBF and I are just trying to figure out what to do this weekend. We may go to Knott's Scary Farm but I bought a costum so I kinda want to go out to a club of something but that means we would have to get a hotel because there are no clubs near us.

We arent going to worry about it. They left all his vacation time, and it would take them forever to fix it, and no doubt they would do it wrong.. So we are just going to leave it alone.

So now you've got some extra vacation days floatin' around... Whatcha gonna do with 'em?

Save them for December! He is taking off 2 days before our trip, and although the shop is shut down from the 24th- jan 2nd there is a couple of days that are unpaid. So we are going to have those covered by vacation. So now we will have enough time to cover it all! Plus... dh will have 2 whole weeks off!

That works out well then. Still, wouldn't he "get more bang for the buck" if he got paid time and a half or double time (as he should have)? He'd essentially be getting paid 2 days for every 1, which should more than cover the 2 days in Christmas break, right?

Of course if it's that difficult to get something corrected it might not be worth the hassle. I swear, they need a new person dealing with the checks! How many other people are having problems? It's serious!

So we need to make an appointment to talk to their mortgage people, and see if we can even get financed and then see if it is something we can actually afford.

We were talking about the being able to afford it thing, and I asked dh if he thinks I should go back to work... and he thinks that would be stupid, because no matter what i make, it wont come even close to what he makes working on the weekends. SO I dont know... I want to help financially, But I don know what to do... Anyhow... this is the house I really want. Plan 1531

He would, but honestly, it probably wont be til Christmas when they get the whole dang thing figured out! I took forever for them just to figure out that he needed to be paid for his bereavement leave when my dad died... What was that, 6 weeks it took them?

I guess its pretty common that people are having issues now. I dont know what the heck is going on, but dh's boss is about done with the accounting dept. there.

Good grief, is that a fireplace in the master bedroom??? I would sooo love that! Of course I suppose it could be more hassle, we aren't in our rooms that long before going to sleep... Still...!

I just hate the idea of people getting away with incompetence because they're too incompetent to fix their mistakes.
