And you never answered my question about the Halloween/ Christmas decorations in regards to Veteran's weekend. :snooty:

Good Morning Hyena's!!!

Sorry I have been MIA again - DH had a meeting in Phoenix yesterday, and decided he would rather drag me and the kiddos down on Wed. night then he drive it himself. The night drive is a bit freaky with all the wildlife - so I can't complain - I would rather be there to keep him awake.

We loaded a few more boxes of crap that are sitting on my dining room table - so my mission right now is to try to find the table - and a place for all the crap. I will try to check back in later!!!

One of my customers is the ultimate pain in the rump! They were asking us to expedite their orders and we were able to. Then they said they don't have a freight forwarder overseas. You work for a large company and you don't have a freight forwarder?? :confused3

They even sent me a routing guide with a list of freight forwarders and they said we can't use any of them. What's the point of sending it again??

They want us to ship everything by Fedex but the problem is that I have to calculate how to split them all without breaking the carton (X pieces per carton). That and it can't exceed 200 KGS per day. Normally we only ship once per week and they are all drop shipments.

*headache, headache, headache*

Two words Pix - JOB SECURITY!!:lmao:

"It" has a condition?

hmmm, life or death?

or just a delicate condition?

ya ya I know but DARN I want one!!!:headache:

I lost IT, but then I found IT again. So now IT is just fine!:)

i think one of my manager is out to get me though...

Are you hitting the bottle again Albort, or just a bit paranoid?:scared1:

haha, im not sure...

i was accusing of doing drugs last Sunday...

I bet it was those poppyseed muffins!

WTH!!!!!!!????

That's so not ok to accuse someone of such a serious offense without proof.

Does Disney have an antidrug policy?? We found it quite amusing that they wanted hubby to pee in a cup for a measly seasonal Target job.

ummm he doesn't pee, can ya draw blood?

That threw them, they couldn't just draw it without permission from his doc. it turned into this big messy thing involving phone call tag, faxes, letters and finally hubby walked away and decided not to work there. Too much owrk to prove that he wasn't a drug addict.. except for his doctor approved ones.

My mom used to work at a casino in Reno. They had to have a hair sample to drug test rather than urine. That way it tested not just recent drug use, but past as well. They hired a guy that had alopecia (no hair on his body). He couldn't give them a hair sample, but was willing to give a urine or blood sample. They couldn't bend the rules and fired him. STUPID!!

Every job I have ever worked at has had drug tests. The one that got me was working for a Tribal Casino... Drug Tests, background checks, 10 year job history... mind you I was 18!:lmao: Plus fingerprinting. Of course it was to work with millions of $ in cash... Filthy stuff... got pink eye twice. :sad2:

Oh Staley, if you would have just quit rolling your naked body around in the money during your breaks, you wouldn't have gotten pink eye!:lmao:

Total opposite here.. we are both gleefully envisioning our kid free life of the future. :woohoo: It's sad and exciting at the same time, really not that far away. J will be our first little birdy to leave the nest -- less than 8 years away we predict. :sad1:

Me too! I have 2-1/2 years to go with DD and 8 years with DS!:woohoo:

hah, well it was pretty good. i made over $1,800. probably like 200-300 transactions...

You do realize Albort that is a 0.17% error rate! Egad, I've been in accounting too long!

hahahahahahahahaha... im drunk!

hahahahahahahahahahaha!

sorry, it isnt really like me to get drunk... :\

im sobering atm... I doubt ill try that again...

I think I have atm figured out! Is it "at the moment"?? So did you just turn 21 or something??

:scared1: I can't believe that! I would be so mad. It sounds like they wouldn't even listen to what you had to say they just think you're on drugs without giving you the benefit of the doubt. That's not fair.

Oh you must try a bellini. It's a delicious peach slushie and you can't taste a bit of the alcohol. But they are so friggin good.

Albort vodka does NOT taste good. You should try spiced rum. That's got a nice flavor. Try some captain morgans with coke, that's not too bad. I prefer gibsons with coke, but that's more whiskey than rum. Vodka is the strongest alcohol I believe and it tastes like pure alcohol, if you mix it up with some 7up and orange juice it's tasty. It gives it a little kick without being overwhelming. You could also try some bacardi breezers, pina colada is my favorite flavor.
They have amazing beers here in scotland. There is one that tastes like a fizzy something with a small beer taste. It's so different I can't even describe it but it's delicious. And if you're going to get drunk get drunk off rum or wine. The hangover is much less and NEVER mix rum and vodka, or really any alcohols. I do fine if I have 5 beers followed by some rum so maybe beer is okay to mix. Oh also gin and tonic is quite refreshing.

Well now we know what you do in your spare time!

Hi Dizzy!

Hi Alison!!! I haven't talked to you forever

Wait, I remember that post - you re-welcomed me to the thread AS IF I didn't know all of you  :sad2:

Good Morning My Crazy Hyena Bunches of Oats! :teeth:

Today is a bit less stressful at work than yesterday. I went to my art class after work and the instructor who I work with was not there. There was another lady there and she knew absolutely nothing about my schedule or what I was working on. She was also kind of rude because she made me wait around while she was gabbing like a hen to some parent (they were talking about random topics). Finally get her attention and I find my art work that I was working on last week.

She tells me: "Draw like me," which is not something she should be saying. I was told that they are supposed to show you and sketch on the top corner of the paper and then you just copy the strokes and such but still create your own style. She kept telling me to draw just like her, which was really annoying. :headache:

I think I'm going to quit this class and take it elsewhere. The cost is so high and doesn't seem worth it anymore. It also is conflicting with my work schedule (Thursday is one of the busiest days of the week at work). I might switch to the local community college. This way it's more flexible and the class will cost MUCH less. I have to call the owner today or tomorrow to let them know. I'm not sure how she'll react to the news.

My older sis is still trapped in her house in San Diego. She doesn't have work all this week and they were instructed not to leave their homes (due to the poor air quality). She must be really bored and I think she really wants to go boogie boarding, which is one of her new hobbies.

I hope you guys have a good day and Albort, lay off the rum churros! :rolleyes1

OK, so for the past couple of months I had myself convinced that my cancer had come back and I was dreading my checkup. I even took a list of every little symptom that I had and went over everything with the oncologist. He probably thinks I'm a hypochondriac, but at least he listened in amusement to me.

It seems the bone pain I have been having is actually nerve pain and I most likely have shingles, not breast cancer that has spread to the bones! :lmao: Apparently people that have undergone chemo & steriod use are very suseptible to shingles for a couple of years afterwards. However, because I am so healthy I didn't have a rash like most people get. Shingles = chicken pox virus that hides in adults spinal fluid, comes out during periods of immense stress, during steriod use and when your immune system is low. Causes rash & pain, but not contagious.

My supposed brain tumor is due to the change the chemo made in my sinuses and he is sending me to an ear, nose & throat specialist for further evaluation!:rotfl2:

The lump in my throat is not a lymph node swollen full of cancer, instead it is due to radiation therapy and will probably be there for the rest of my life. However he will have the ENT look at it also!:rotfl2:

My fatigue that I was sure was a sign of cancer recurrence is #1 related to shingles and #2 related to the fact that I am pushing myself too hard. Apparently going to DL, WDW, and walking 2 5K races in one summer was not the brightest thing to do. I am still apparently one of the healthiest looking cancer patients he has ever seen and I need to give myself a break. My full energy will most likely never return, but 75-90% of my energy will return within two years of my last treatment. So let's mark May 2009 on the calendar!!:rotfl:

The lumps under my mastectomy scar and chest area that I was sure were cancerous lumps growing back are merely fat!:lmao:

End result, looks like you guys might have to put up with my antics for a few more years!

That's great news Alison (the part that you are healthy, not the part that you are a paranoid hypochondriac)

I guess I wouldn't have recognized the thread if I was greeted warmly and sincerely!!! :rotfl2:

Things are good - we are very anxious to get the house thing finalized and a check in our hand - and just trying to get settled into the rental. It seems like once I get the place cleaned up, we bring in more boxes. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: The weather is beautiful though - high of 60-70ish right now, and then the low is a bit nippy at 28 or so - but that is what blankets and thermal underwear is for!!!

Good afternoon, hyenas! :cool2:
It is a gorgeously sunny day in Seattle, definitely needing the shades today!

I took DS3 to a little Halloween party at the community center today, and he had a great time. Dressed like a mini-pirate with an eyeliner scar across his cheek, AAARRRRRR! pirate:

We saw two other pirates, insects (bees, ladybugs, do fairies count?), lots of little princesses, and wildlife (elephant, monkey, bear), and many more. Too cute!

They gave us tickets to play at the individual game stations, including Pin The Eye on the Monster, Make A Monster Puppet, Monster tattoos, a Monster Cookie Walk, and a Monster Storytime. DS3 had a great time, I took lots of pictures, and we even got to see several of his former teachers (we used to take Mom & baby/toddler classes there.) They even had a quiet room with cold drinks and a TV playing Monsters Inc.! So fun!

DH and DS3 are napping now, DS7 playing video games ( ), so thought I'd take a moment to say howdy. "Howdy!" :rotfl:

What's up Alex? I was wondering where you've been. That Halloween party sounds like fun. Glad your DS3 had a good time :) Lynn went to the MHT last night. Unfortunately Andrea and her kids weren't able to get in, so Lynn made sure to get as much candy as possible for them. She also got to meet Mickey (her boyfriend) at the gates and he walked with her all the way to where he was greeting guests (by the water I think). She was the first person in line to take a pic with him. She sent a pic to my phone and she's standing between Mickey and Minnie. I told her I was surprised she didn't push Minnie out of the way! :rotfl2: She said: "I know! I had no choice!"

I just ate a nice lunch with my co-workers. An ex co-worker stopped by for a visit and ate lunch with us. I rode in one of my co-worker's cars. He drives a Civic SI and he drove like a bat out of hell!! I was holding on tight to the Jesus bar in the backseat. :scared1: :scared1:

Hey, pix! :)

I saw your earlier post, that is hilarious about Lynn not pushing Minnie aside. :rotfl:

One of DS7's buddies is at DL today and tomorrow. He was asking me on Tuesday what DL was like, and I said, "I promise, honey, you are going to have a GREAT time!" He didn't look convinced, though. :rotfl2:

I stopped by their house after school yesterday to drop off some DL info I printed out for his mom. She's never been, either, though I guess the guy they're going with ~ not sure if it's a boyfriend or just a male friend ~ is experienced, he knew all about fastpasses anyway. They're only going to be there today and tomorrow, flying out Sunday a.m. Not much time, especially with two little guys along, so I tried to explain about picking up multiple fastpasses during the day to use in the evenings, and things I thought the boys would like. She said she thought her eldest (DS7's buddy) was 52", which means he's quite a bit taller than DS7, who is just 48". So he'll be able to get on lots of rides, but the little guy (3yo) should get on a surprising number, too. I hope they have fun! :yay:

Oh, so I have my photopass CD. Can you PM me your email address again, and I'll send you the photos with you in it? Do you want them full-size, or whacked for email, just to see what they look like? (I should warn you, DS7 looks like he's being tortured in them. :sad2: )

Oh, and bummer about your newest art teacher. I'd explain to the director why you choose not to continue the class with her!

Thanks!

its spinning! hahaha, im off to work. bye!

Have a good day at work!

Cool! (except for the driving, of course!)

Tonight I'm having dinner with two of my closest friends. Last month 4 of us started a Girls Night Out, one evening a month. (We all have at least 2 kids, and the other 3 work FT at stressful jobs, so girl time and conversation is highly prized!) Anyway, one friend can't make it tonight, and another can't make it next month, but we're going to keep holding them as long as at least 2 of us can meet! Last month we ate and laughed and chatted (and each had one alcoholic beverage, which we are NOT used to!) and CLOSED DOWN the restaurant! I have never stayed at a place so long it closed with us in it! :rotfl:
