Hey Grumpy Pirate! How's it going?? Just wanted to point out that you can only live on the Left Coast if you are standing Northward in the US. If you happen to be standing Southward then you would live on the Right Coast! How do we actually know the earth is the way they show it on the globe? Maybe we are looking at it upside down!

yeah we have a garden center too...maybe its a cali thing ive bought my christmas tree from them a couple of times...I never seem to find a good tree at the same place ....its always different year after year...

I have a fake tree. It has lots of pretty colorful lights already on it and spins around. Which can be kind of bad because I have no place to hide the ugly ornaments! All I have to do is look out my windows and I see nothing but fir trees everywhere. We used to always have a real one, but the fake one is so much easier to take care of! I guess I could go out in the yard & cut one down if I wanted to, but they are just so darned messy. Besides, I think they look really pretty growing outside.

We have tons of Xmas tree farms around here. They actually start cutting them and shipping them to California around the first of September (really fresh!).

I have a fake tree. It has lots of pretty colorful lights already on it and spins around. Which can be kind of bad because I have no place to hide the ugly ornaments! All I have to do is look out my windows and I see nothing but fir trees everywhere. We used to always have a real one, but the fake one is so much easier to take care of! I have some small trees, but the majority of my trees are about 6 stories tall, old growth and 2nd growth fir! We had to cut a couple of them down to widen & pave our road a couple of years ago. We counted the rings, one of them was 118 years old and the other was 89. We just usually put lights on the house. Plus I has some of the giant inflatable things and a train that lights up. Those inflatables look big in a regular yard, but when you put them in ours, they just look like miniatures!

Speaking of which, we have a Halloween Shrek inflatable that we need to put up this weekend! I put my inside decor up, but haven't done anything outside yet.

Albort confuses me part of the time too! I think it's the different language thing. Remember men are from Mars and women are from Venus! Venutians have a hard time understanding Martians. But then again Funny G & I are Uranusians, so I'm surprised you can understand me at all!

you know this is THE first year since Tiffany was born that I havent decorated...for awhile now I havent really had the desire to decorate and I said last christmas I was over it!!! this year its partially been that reason but also because Tristan is into EVERYTHING...and I just know he will yank and pull down and break whatever I put up so Im not doing it!!! and luck be it, Tiff hasnt said anything about me not decorating and im sure not gonna remind her

Did you every see the West Wing episode where the staff was taking meetings with the "nut" cases? and one group of science professors wanted to change the mercater (sp?) map to a more correct one that didn't change the relative sizes of the various land masses? (I didn't think so....)

O.K., I'll just sit in the corner, looking at all the pretty colors

Subcontracting


After a very negative reaction from all of the Union Members, Disney has decided to back off of the 100% subcontracting language that it proposed on Tuesday. We meet again on Friday and will discuss the issue. The Company backed down from this because all of Union Members standing up for themselves and letting the Company know that they deserve a good contract. Keep up the good work. We will be at the Paradise Pier Hotel Friday the 12th and then again the following week 15th - 19th. We usually start at 9:30 and go until 6 or later. You being there will show the Company that this is your contract, and you won't settle for anything less than a fair contract.

uhhh, psssssst hey Pixie, can you go do that? I haven't made any ressies. But that sounds GREAT!!

I also went to our brand new Super Target today. Supposed to be one of the biggest ones in California. Go figure? Anywhos's it has Starbucks, a deli, and bakery in it, besides groceries. But you know what?????????? It doesn't have a garden center!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can they do that??? So I asked the checker,and she said I was at least the 10th person today that has complained to her. So I decided to talk to the manager and give her my two cents. I was nice mind you.................... I just wanted to let them know how dissapointed I was. So she proceeds to tell me that this is the new direction Target is going to. Blah, blah, blah!!! Now for maybe you folks who don't give a rip, that's OK...................but now I have to go all the way to Visalia (12miles- ) to get my Target garden fix!!

Garden center at Target is a new beast to me. They MAY have seasonal ones at regular Target in MN, but only at the upscale suburbs.

Target started out in MN!! To you Californina people it's still "new" where for me it's old hat, been around all my life.

MMMM some good stuff at Super target, haven't had a dud yet for their upscale brand called Archer Farms, Market Pantry is their generic brand- some of it is ICKY!

Their steak is good too-- although it has been injected with extra juices. Look for the peelie coupons on close dated meat, sometimes you can get stocked up for very cheap!

And they have printable store coupons on their web site. They talk about it from time to time on the budget board. Good deals combined with maufacturer coupons.
