I used to 'cook' like that all the time. :lmao:

Can't do it anymore, at least not for DH; sometimes we'll do pizza or McDs for the boys though.

This week I was feeling quite Susie Homemaker-ish with the roasted chicken, beef roast, meatloaf, chicken pot pie (using Bisquick and the leftover chicken, nothing too fancy.) Good food, and DH was just loving it! Truth to tell, so was I, but it is kind of a pain. These things aren't very difficult (at least with my limited know-how), but like if it has to cook for 3 hours, you can't go anywhere, you've gotta be home!

I should have done the roast in the crock pot. I wonder if it would have fit... I'd feel better about leaving a crock pot going than the oven, ya know?
I have a huge crockpot, one of the newer ones. Almost too big for us, I kinda miss my old one.. but it fell CLUNK and got a huge dent in the aluminum interior.. like if we use dit you would worry about ZAP!:scared1:

Excellent! You go girl!! You really should bust out that crock pot! I make toms of things in mine... I made a REALLY good chicken spaghetti sauce in it a few days ago. The chicken was off the hook!!:thumbsup2 and healthy!! Plus roasted chicken, and roasts, and chili verde... a very simple one, not at all authentic! :lmao: I use mine 3 of 4 days a week, that with my bread maker, and everyone at dh's work thinks that he is the best taken care of fella around!:lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: OMG!!! Mickey just asked "Do little old ladies have big hairy arms?" And Alex said... Sometimes!:lmao: :lmao: (Pete was dressed like a little old lady!)
How timely! DS3 and I were discussing gender today. I don't remember how the conversation started, but I started by explaining that Mama is a girl. (Remember I told you how this was a big problem for DS7 until a couple years ago? He claimed he knew I was a girl, but kept asking me where my wizard was. Drove me nuts! He finally got it around age 5. FIVE! )

Anyway, so I asked, "So is Mama a boy or a girl?" and held my breath. (We were driving to Starbucks, and DH was with us.) He paused and I thought, "Ohhhhh, noooooo!", but he finally said, "Mama is ge-e-e-el." Yay! :yay:

And Daddy is a...? "Daddia is bo-eee." That's right.
And [DS7]? "[DS7] is bo-eee." So far, so good! :thumbsup2
And [DS3]? I kinda held my breath on this one, too, with the whole 'I want to be a princess' thing, but he very rightly said, "I a bo-eee."

We went through grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins and neighbors and teachers and his little friend and friend's baby sister, and he got everybody right. Thank goodness! Hopefully I won't catch him sneaking around behind me while I'm doin' my bizness in the bathroom, asking where my wizard is! :scared1:

yep, and thanks .. I hope so
So... Easiest way to learn to start out is to find a local parking lot that is dead quiet and flat. (And since DH isn't supposed to drive, as close by as possible... :rolleyes1 ) He can drive to the parking lot (usually school lots are good, no activity on the evenings/weekends) and then you can drive around in circles, park in a space, parallel park, etc. As you get more comfortable, drive out to a quiet county road or someplace that isn't too much traffic.

GEESH, the first time I ever drove (without sitting in my dad's lap  ) was the scariest day of my life! It was my HS driver's ed class, and the nitwit teacher had assigned 3 of us together who had NEVER driven before. And she asked one of us to drive us out of the school parking lot, out onto the street, and down into town. This girl did OK until we made the left turn onto the street and she was driving down the left side of the road! The two of us in the back are :scared1: :scared1: and the stupid instructor didn't say a word until a car was headed right for us, then snidely said, "Why don't you try driving on the RIGHT side of the road?" I wanted to smack that old cow!

She was a nasty, witchy (with a 'B') woman, and we managed to learn to drive in spite of her. :sad2:

 Egads... My parents taught me how to drive in parking lots... I learned how to drive stick in our neighborhood. I used to cruise around on the weekends. In and out of culdesacs and up and down the road.

Hmmm... Maybe I should look into getting a bigger one. I did a whole chicken one time, and it barely fit! I can tell already that that ain't gonna cut it when the boys get older (or DS7 plays much more soccer...)

I tell ya, I've gotta think of something to get that boy to poop in the potty! :sad2:

Hey, maybe "if you put your poop in the potty, I'll take you to Disneyland!" :rotfl:

OK, kids are clamoring for food, so I'm gonna go zap the chicken pot pie for them. Hopefully I'll be back shortly! :)
