This is the pic I drew in the art class today. I haven't drawn since high school and this was fun to do. It's an apple, chili and a banana. It's not much now and I have to work on it more next week.

Can I just vent for a second???

No objections. Ok here goes.


I hate my husbands job. They have now told him that he has too much of a cushy home life and that he needs to spend more time in the restaurant. He spends about 70 hours a week there I'm not sure what more they want. Everything is running smoothly and he just stands around there. Needless to say I'm looking for another job for him. He has this new district manager that loves to micromanage him. Now he absolutely hates his job again. It was going fine for awhile but its gone south fast now. So if anyone sees a job out there that he can have let me know!

Oh yeah and now they dont think he can go to DL to see Morgan dance so we have reduced our tickets from 4 to 2 days which will really be a day and a half since we have to drive home on Sunday the 11th now.

Ok back to regular posting.

Oh Shawna that's awful! For some reason I thought your dh OWNED the restaurant that was why he was spending so many hours there. He definately needs a different job. I can't believe they won't let him go see Morgan dance either too bad money makes the world go round I would love for him to just walk out. That really really sucks.

No he is the general manager and it SUCKS. Personally he would love to be in landscape architecture but he didnt get his degree in that and to find the time/money to go back to school is impossible now.

Oh I'm getting the kids ready for school as well so that is the delay!

I know it would hard but can he take night classes? Maybe an online course? Many courses today are offered online so it may be an option. Job hunting sucks but I know things will work out for you guys. Maybe he should open his own restaurant, I know he can do that I already thought he did

Nope, we found a great one yesterday and it was in a good location but the bedroom was soooo small. You could only fit a single bed in there so it wouldn't work. We had a kingsized bed in Canada and I really really miss it. Everything here is furnished so we have to take what we get and unfortunately I don't think they know what a king sized bed is. Everything here is so small, we're in a double bed right now and I almost fall off the bed every night. So anyways we couldn't get that place but we're sill looking. Hopefully a two bedroom with a dishwasher will come available soon.

There aren't many with a dishwasher and I must have a dishwasher, there is no way I'll do dishes everynight if I have to wash by hand and my kitchen will stink.

Unfortunately the degree he wants does not offer ANY night or online classes. He has part of it but things have changed so much with computers that he needs about 3 years.

I feel so bad for him. I wish we could hit the lottery so he could go to school and not work for awhile and start his own landscape architectect firm like he really wants. However that seems to be unlikely!

Oh I hear you on the dishwasher thing. In college I had an apt with no dishwasher and it stunk! I resorted to buying plastic stuff so I didnt have to wash. i would even steal forks from fast food restaurants and such. See no dishwasher leads to crime!
