Hi Alison,Howdy Hyenas! What's up? Anybody here??? Sorry I had to leave so quickly yesterday, my boss showed up and had a few projects for me.
Hey Staley!! Sweet deal on the costume!! Glad you had a good dinner. My kids would laugh at me if I tried to lay them down that early!! Lucky girl. We just got home from the PTA Spaghetti dinner and it was a hit, about 250 families showed up which was great, it was very busy. Now they are all in the shower, so I have a few minutes!

Hey Bernice!! All you little bakers on here are making me look bad! Shoot, I sent in store bought cookies for Lauren's bday yesterday!

Are you allowed to send home baked treats to school?
I don't know the rules here but MN law is NO home made treats. In fact, even bake sales are discouraged.
It was nice at Head Start to say.. sorry that's the law.... less sugary treats sent to school.Instead we were force fed at every home visit, "please please eat!" , our families loved us..... and loved food!

They have to go to bed that early, other wise they are little terrors!!!
oh, I'm not perfect either.... stop beating yourself up!
I have days and days go by where I just don't wanna cook, so I don't and my kids eat junk. Then I feel gulity and cook like mad.. just to get burned out again...It's a horrible cycle.
Fall is my time of year for baking. When it's really cold this week I might make some bread.. it's very relaxing. Stir, Mix, Pound, Roll, and a feeling of real accomplishment when you pull the bread out hot and yummmy!
See! Now I guess I have another reason why that I forgot about. I really really try not to use the oven till it gets below 90 or so, since then it costs me more in A/C bills!!! It's still almost 100 degrees here, so you are right, I do start cooking and baking more in the fall/winter than I do now.
I CANNOT wait, we are supposed to hit high 80's by the weekend!!!! It's just a cold front moving through that won't last but a few days, but I'll take it! Isn't that sad that I am able to describe 85 degrees as a cold front? But at this time of year, it's RARE!
