Chillin like a villain, and getting ready for our trip! Alex is getting into the swing of things, and Mikalah is loving having some bro-bro free time with mom and dad. How are things with you guys?

Are you allowed to send home baked treats to school?

I don't know the rules here but MN law is NO home made treats. In fact, even bake sales are discouraged.

It was nice at Head Start to say.. sorry that's the law.... less sugary treats sent to school. Instead we were force fed at every home visit, "please please eat!" , our families loved us..... and loved food!

Interesting that this came up this evening... I went to curriculum night @ DS3's preschool, and the teacher said we could bring in cupcakes for birthdays, but they had to be store-bought. I was really surprised, I've never heard that before.

Pretty good. I am busy painting the kitchen cabinets. It's a pain. The doors with all the detailing kills my hand. Anyway its slow go with 4 coats of primer and 3 coats of paint. It takes forever but I am seeing what it will look like and I'm getting excited. i cant wait to finish and put the floors in finally.

We wish we could still go in October as well as November. Thats what a lot of people from the studio are doing. However, since we are finally getting new floors I cannot afford both trips with saving for WDW at the same time. I have worked hard to get my floors and I just cannot wait! Although Dh suggested AP's again. I'm like DUH we said none til after WDW!!! GEESH.

that's the way it is here too. No homemade stuff. Shoot I honestly was looking forward to knocking out 8 dozen cupcakes in a night like the commercials. I know thats crazy but that just sounded fun. Now I cannot do that. I have to buy the tasteless ones at the store. And cookies???? Oh my I dont like bakery bought cookies but that is all they will take.

I thought you just painted your cabinets? Yeah... I am going back and forth on whether or not to buy Alex an AP. Because of our trip in Dec. it would have to be a premium... They come out to being really similar in price, but it is a lot of money to spend up front... I dont know... If Only I would get a child support check! That would decide it for me!

Staley, I painted both of my bathroom cabinets in the spring. I wanted to see if they would hold up for 6 months or so. If they chipped I wasnt going to paint the kitchen ones but they look great and clean up nicely so I am doing the kitchen cabinets. Dh put some nice crown molding on the top and some on the bottom and it really changed the look of the cabinets.
