So I have done a bit of research (can't do too much when I get the internet for five minute intervals - at that) DH's bird show is 27 miles away from DL, so he is going to stay with us Friday, then do EE with us on Saturday so we can ride Nemo together!!! I will also have his extra AP for fast passes since it will be activated!!!

So, are you going to need help on Saturday? Im really glad you decided to go!! How fun!

okay this might sound wierd to you guys but i just got a call from Disneyland they had to change one of our adr's time .(not a biggeee) but now i am so freakin excited to go .. does that seem wierd i am 32 yrs old with 5 kids and i swear i am gonna be the one freaking out when i walk through the gates..... is this usually how you should feel? (this being my 1st time and the kiddos)

Totally normal!!! I have been twice, Last October, and june.. And I am STILL super excited with each trip!!

Yes, perfectly normal to get excited about a DL trip.. I get more excited than the kids do! heck, we get excited to go every Sunday we hop in the car for the drive there

We did a lot of walking today, skipped the trams and wandered thru DTD. Light crowds and did a leisurely pace thru the park, hitting whatever struck our mood. By afternoon the crowd was growing.

Walked all the way back to Toontown for Roger Rabbit.. grrrrrr ride was not open yet.
later hopped into DCA after having lunch at white Water Snacks, thnking we would pick up fast passes for Soarin.. BROKEN!
Wandered up, went to Monsters and did a few things in the Animation bldg, swung back to check Soarin.. still broken down.
Headed back to DL to use a fast pass for Space.. guess what??


BROKEN!


ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHH!

Decided it was time to bail, crowded and getting hot.
Hubby accidentally got in the wrong lane on Ball Road, turn lane only. OOPS! went up a side road and did a Uturn eeeeeeeek!

no problems until we turn off the 91 onto the 60, he passes the exit and now we are on the 215. backtrack thru Riverside and found our way back to the 60.

It was nice and cool at home, felt cooler than Anaheim. NICE!

Headed out later to get some food, hubby again ended up in a turn lane with nowhere to get out of it .. worked out ok, Took the 60 and exited near our home.

I'm seriously going to have him buy a Tom Tom GPS in October, tired of the wrong turns.. pull out the map book and figure where to go routine.
Then again, we are finding a lot of things we wouldn't normally see.

My dh is challenged as well. I was most impressed when he got lost on our first date! Sounds like you guys had a nice time though.. Wish I was there!

I my dh... I am having killer cramps, so he went to 7-11 and bought me some razzberry m&m's! He also got some of that new Jolly Rancher soda... the hot cinnamon type. Not to bad, but really sweet!

Did you mention Riverside? My sister just got put in charge of the Petsmarts grooming salon there! She is the BEST groomer in the district, and they had her come in to "fix" the salon... Apparently the whole store is in the crapper. If you happen out there, swing in and say hi.. She looks kinda like me, only really short!

OMG... okay, this is too funny! I was washing Alex's hair in the tub tonite, and he was laying back with his feet on the back of the tub "I feel like Im having a baby!" I was squatting over, leaning on the edge of the tub with my foot braced on the toilet... Yeah? Me too!

Other highlights....

Cat sitting in the Mickey head planting, looked like the same cat as last weekend. White and orange medium hair.

Eyeore walked up to Carnation Cafe, staying behind the railing and did a little dance routine for those having breakfast. Took a bow and blew kisses to everyone there.
I like these unexpected interactions with characters. Some of our best times have been stumbling on a character in an odd place.

My WWS kitty came scooting around the corner, jumped into the wood lattice area and waited for food. Same cat that has visted me on solo trips(and once as a whole family) on previous visits (before we moved to CA). Medium hair, white with tortoise shell marking red/brown /orange and black.
She let us pet her, she likes her ears to be scratched. Gobbled up our offerings of burgers and chicken, sniffed and wouldn't touch hubby's piece of hamburger... it has mustard on it.

DCA has the candy corn "crops" set up. Candy corn Corn, candy corn grapes, candy corn carrots. And an enormous candy corn with a bite out of it, photo area.

Art displays in DTD, some cool stuff. In one tent they were painting a lady's face and then removed it.. like movie makeup latex pieces? There was a big crowd so we couldn't see.

Walked thru the waterfalls at DLH, nearly fell in the dark cave.

The towers have been renamed, the one closest to the waterfalls are now called the Wonder.

Visited the Koi (feedings at 9:30 am Tues and Thursdays, very fun FREE family activity. The CM lets you help handfeed the Koi. ).

Potty break for DS inside the hotel, sat and waited for him. and found Goofy interacting with conventioners.
One guy was busy typing away on his blackberry as he power walked down the hall, Goofy followed and pantomimed the typing. The guy didn't even notice.
Goofy stopped, turned to us and put his hand to his face showing he was "laughing" at making fun of the guy.
It was cute!

Walked to Mickey and Friends. Climbed the stairs, and noticed a display along the tram road.. Mickey and Minnie as a pumpkin queen and king. Rose bushes shaped into heart, bat shrubs and pumpkins all around them.

hmm, wonder which Petsmart? There is one in the Canyon Springs shopping area off of Day Street. Technically it's Riverside , right on the border of Moreno Valley. Target next door, tons of other stores and fast foods there.

I am the oldest one on this chat thread site. I'm just 1 year shy of being as old as DL! Ouch!!

Anywhos, since I was raised in So Cal, I went quite a few times growing up. My big Sis who was 14 years older than me took me alot with her. When I was about 5, we went on the Skyway, (which is now gone). Anyways, my leg got caught in between the plastic seats,and they had to shut the whole ride down, get out some tools to get my leg out. My Sis was mortified, but I was getting alot of attention. I think they gave us something for the incident, but can't remember. I should ask my Mom again. We only lived about an hour away at that time in town called Redlands. After I grew up, got married, and moved away we still tried to go about every other year. We now live about 3 hours, depending on traffic of course. My oldest DD danced alot, and always had dance competitions at the DLH, so of course we had to take advantage of that too!!!

So I've always loved DL, and can remember the shows, and faithfully watching every Sunday night for The Wonderful World of Disney. Needless to say this has passed down to my kids. I have 4 children.....DS 28, DS 26, DD 24, and DD 13. And yes the last one was planned and has the same Daddy!!

So ........Don't feel alone on your excitement. I still get excited, even though I've been there alot. I will never grow tired of DL. Especially when they keep adding new things to see and do.

I dont know... She said that it is one of the first ones to open in her district, so Im guessing that it would be the one that looks the oldest. I usually talk to he on wednesdays, so I will ask her then.

Yeah... I know wht you mean. I finally wrote down the http. site by hand, cuz it wouldn't do it for me, the way the instructions said to do. And that worked. I'm not very computer savvy like you youngsters are!!!

And thanks for asking about the surgery. It's the 26th of this month.
