My mom made them occasionally when we were little, but I haven't eaten it since then.

I make them sometimes... Not very often though. We still have a crap load of rice and beans... So, you think for dinner instead of spaghetti noodles, we should have the sauce over rice and beans?:lmao: :lmao: GROSS!!

:lmao: :lmao: Alex gets to pick dinner every once in a while. He likes shrimp, and tater tots, and fresh steamed green beans! garlic shrimp... no fried shrimp for him!:lmao: The first time he had popcorn shrimp, he got all mad... said it wasnt real shrimp!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :lmao: Your DS may just grow up to be a food critic!! Restaraunts watch out!! J/k!! :lmao: Speaking of food critics, my sister's friend looks like the one in Ratatouille. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: When I was small I didn't want my parents to come to parents night and stuff. I assumed it was something bad and the teacher was going to tell them how bad I was or something. :scared1:

My school was really strict.....they had a sad face pouch on the wall with our names on it. If we did something wrong, we would have to pick a colored construction paper (based on what we did) and put it in our pouch. Then the teacher would give us a tally to bring home for our parents to sign. I had TONS of those and it was always for something stupid: talking, picking a leaf off one of the plants outside, blowing a whistle in 1st grade was my favorite! :rolleyes1

:sad2: Thats a bummer..

yeah... til you have to pay for him to eat out!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: He always wants to go to the expensive places and eat sushi, and crab legs, and lobster... Kid, your 5!!! Eat some chicken nuggets!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

The other night my bf came home and he said that one of his co-workers was working late and she went home and then came back to work. She said there were 2 guys standing in front of her house on the sidewalk and she was scared. I think she's in her late 50's or early 60's. My bf told her to call the police but she said she was too scared to. He ended up following her home (she lived just a few blocks away). He said just as he was about to leave, his co-worker said: "BYE *his name*!!" really loud and he was all: "Oh crap!!!" :sad2: The guys were still there when my bf was there. He said they looked like drug addicts. :scared:

I know, I guess I oughtta be grateful my kids' favorite meal is "hambuggah-f'ies"! :rotfl:

Of course with their father's health issues, I probably shouldn't let them eat that crap at all. Bad mommy! :headache:

:rotfl2: :rotfl: You're not a bad mommy! You're caring because you want your family to be healthy :)

She was too scared to call the police? I don't even know what that means, it makes no sense. :confused3

So she lets her co-worker, who (I assume) has no gun or training dealing with this type of person, follow her home, that made her feel safer? :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: yeah... we have tried to cut out the junk food. I hate they eat that stuff... and that I eat that stuff... But its just so darned tasty!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: But now 90% of our food is made by me, from scratch. So I control the amount of bad stuff gets put into it!! And i guess I should be greatful that Alex likes what he does, he makes really good choices at school for lunch! Always a salad, and peas, and fruit, and white milk (he hates chocolate:confused3 ) and a sandwich.:thumbsup2

That made no sense to me either. None of the other employees were willing to follow her home. I told my bf that it's nice but he shouldn't do that. I don't want something to happen to him!

So in one year (roughly) we'll be heading to Maui! I'm so excited! :yay:

Our first trip was on our honeymoon, and it was so incredibly beautiful and relaxing, the perfect honeymoon for us. :goodvibes

We saved up and went back I think 3 years later, then a few more years after that.

The last (4th) trip was in 2002, when DS7 was 2yo, our first vacation with a child. Okaaaaayy. Not as relaxing and romantic as it is just the two of us, but still lovely. Thought DS would love the beach and the ocean, but he hated it! He cried, "Too loud! Too loud!" with his little hands over his ears. :rotfl:

We spent a lot of time in the hotel room (naps and whenever he just wanted to play with his toys), and every evening at the pool, which he LOVED.

So in 2008 we'll go back to celebrate our 15th anniversary, this time with TWO children. My dream is to have a vow renewal on the beach, and couple and family photos taken. :goodvibes

he should have called the cops for her, I understand that she is older, and probably just freaked right out, and wasnt thinking rationally.

Most of what we eat is at home as well. DS7 always chooses pizza for school lunch, which he only gets maybe once a month. But I get into cooking/meal preparing ruts, boring same ol' dishes and lunches. I need to peruse the cooking books again, and buy a better variety of lunch items.
