Now I know why parents give their teens a curfew. I used to think it was so the kids wouldn't be out too late getting into trouble. Now I know the truth -- it's because the parents don't want to stay up that late waiting for them to get home!:lmao: I would really like to be in bed now, I'm tired, but I have another hour and 45 minutes to go!:scared1:

DD & her BF went bowling with another couple tonight. I have a nice bowling ball (green, purple & white with glitter). My bowling balls name is Gladys. I also have nice bowling shoes. DD refused to take them. She would rather rent shoes!:scared1: Apparently having your own bowling ball & shoes is embarassing!:lmao:

Hmmmm.... We might try that!! It doesnt sound TOOOO bad. Plus, it would be a nice break from our rainy springlike weather.:thumbsup2

We went a few years ago on Spring break to get away from the rain. We liked it so much we kept going back every year. By February I am so tired of the rain and planning WDW trips made it so much more bearable. I don't really like super hot weather, but we really have enjoyed it every year.

How fun!! I cant wait til we go to WDW.. We are just starting to take vacations.. Our Dl trip last october was our first. I figure once Mikalah is a tad older, we will head out to Florida.

When DS was just a few weeks old we had some friends that invited us to go bowling. It sounded like fun, plus they had a nursery/daycare room there, so we could take the kids with us. We thought it was just to bowl for one night, but instead they had signed us up for a bowling league!:scared1: I had only been bowling once in my entire life. We had to bowl every Thursday night for several months! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: So I ended up buying my own ball & shoes. I chose the ugliest ball I could find. They asked me if I wanted my name engraved on it, as most of the bowling fanatics do. I said my ball could have it's own name - Gladys! I kept threatening to have Gladys engraved on it, but never did. The shoes don't look bad, they are just plain white. It cost $3 to rent them every week, but Kmart had them for $12, so it was cheaper to buy my own.

So am I doing a good job of trying to convince you I'm not an avid bowler?? Actually I haven't been bowling in a couple of years!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I used to bowl when i was little, but i dont think that I have been since i was 10 or so. I would totally go again, but it would be difficult with the youngens!:lmao:

Oh you need to take the kids. All of the bowling alleys have the bumper bowling on almost all the lanes now! So the kids have a blast. Some of them even have really light balls for the really little kids. Check around, if you go during the day or Sunday mornings, oddball hours it's usually really inexpensive.:thumbsup2

You know... thats funny, because I was just looking for things to do with the kids in Reno, and i thought about taking Alex bowling!:lmao: :lmao: I know he would love it! Mikalah is to young to get it... she would most likely try to hit her brother with the ball!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey, girls! :)

I am miserably snotty and stuffed up. And there's nothing on TV. Sam, please say something uplifting.

My kids always like Circus, Circus and Boomtown. The last time we were there we took them to a public swimming pool, they had lots of fun because the pool had slides and diving boards. I was going to take them to the water park in Sparks, but everyone said it was really hot standing in line and expensive. I think they were just as happy at the public pool. I bet Mikalah would like bowling, you just need to find one that is kid friendly.

Have you ever been to the JC Penney catalog store in Sparks? They have some great buys there - especially clothes!:thumbsup2 I always come home with a car load full from there.

 Aww!! Sooo... did you get a new car today?
No!!! I was so annoyed. We drove all the way downtown, hauled DS3's carseat (because we want to see how it fits in the 3rd row seat) halfway across the parking lot with the sales guy, and then he says, "Gee, we just sold our last one with the 3rd row seat yesterday. But we have some others you can look at, if that isn't an important feature."

What is with these people? We made it clear that was what we wanted! So we turned around and were loading up the kids again, just about to drive off, and then the guy comes back and is asking if we'd like to see some other colors that Dh had asked about. So we piled out again, walked the lot to see different colors. The "pearl" isn't really off-white, it's more a shimmery white, not our thing. The red is pretty, but again, not our thing. The few colors I was willing to think about DH hated, and vice versa.

So the guy must have somehow signaled his manager, he came out and chatted with us. He's a much more experience schmoozer, LOL! Anyway, he also was very knowledgeable (I got the idea our sales guy was new, he just didn't seem to know much, had to keep looking things up), so we eventually went inside and they offered to take down the details that were important to us (which they already should have HAD from our internet info), and they'll do a search and see what comes up.

They can search on current stock, as well as what's being assembled and where it's going. I was kinda hoping they could just say "Make one like this" and we could get it in a couple months, but apparently it doesn't work that way. Ah, well.

So hopefully we'll know more in a few days. :confused3
