I think I've been following Staley's lead today and spent the day cooking. I made a chocolate pudding birthday cake for my neighbor, baked apple cinnamon & lemon poppyseed muffins. Had a house full at lunch time, so grabbed the griddle and made a whole bunch of grilled cheese sammiches and watermelon. Just finished dinner, sauteed shrimp, rice, green salad & cottage cheese. :thumbsup2

Hello Hyenas! I hope you all had a good day! :) My bf and I woke up early this morning and went to Ikea. He had bought a dresser last week and the 2 outer side pieces were cracked. It was MUCH better going there in the morning than in the afternoon when it's crazy. :thumbsup2 He returned the dresser and we went to check if they had another one, but it was sold out. We were both hungry and we ate their swedish meatballs in their cafeteria area. I bit into one meatball and the middle of the meatball was still frozen! Same for a couple of them I had. I wanted to take it back to get another plate but the line was too long.

We left Ikea and we went to AMC and watched the Mr. Bean movie!

:yay: It was funny and I think your kids would like it! :thumbsup2 The theatre wasn't crowded at all, which was really cool. :smooth:

Stopped by Fry's Electronics on the way home and I bought some DVD's. They had some that were on sale for $4.49! My bf was looking for a new PC game. When we returned to the parking lot I noticed that it had rained but the sun was out and it was all humid! It hasn't rained after that though, which is weird.

We both came home and took a nap since we had woken up early. I just woke up and took a shower and my bf is still snoring!

LOL!!

I'm waiting for him to wake up so we can go out for dinner. Not sure what we're going to eat but earlier he told me that he was craving Outback for some reason. lol

Did you decide to Iron Chef today? ;) That food sounds good! Are the cheese SAMmiches named after your SN? :rotfl2:

Hey Pixster, I think Outback sounds way better than my dinner. YUMMY!! DH calls sandwiches, sammiches, I guess I just sort of picked it up!:lmao: I didn't really Iron Chef it, more like open up a bunch of boxes and add eggs, water & oil!:thumbsup2

Wow, everybody but me has a hot date for Saturday night, huh? :rotfl:

Thanks for the well wishes, I am feeling much better today. The whole family napped mid-day, and other than a stiff neck and being a little stuffed up still, I'm feeling pretty good. :)

Umm! I don't have a hot date. As a matter of fact, my date is in Southern Cali right now. But I am kind of tired, so I won't be on for much longer. I guess I'm not the night owl you guys are. I always wake up around 6:00 or so, and I just can't go back to sleep very well. :sad2: We have a shop in the back, that makes alot of noice that starts at that time. Bang, bang, bang, or drill, drill, drill, etc, etc, etc!!!!!!!! :headache: No rest for me!!!!!!!!!! Not only that but DD needs to be up then anyways for school.

Alex, I'm glad the yucks are getting better. :yay: I never posted before, but it sounds like your party was a success! Good thing you weren't sick then!!!!! :goodvibes

Perhaps it was "Jimmy Crack Corn" and I don't care!:lmao:

I've been hitting the Albertson's near my work at least once a week. They had cereal for $1 a box a couple of weeks ago. They've had tons of stuff on clearance: Yoplait yogurt 25 cents, Lunchables 99 cents. Definately worth going every week to check out their specials.:thumbsup2

Should we post your photo for them??:rotfl2:
Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care.....................

Hi, Tinkermell!

I just checked back on this thread, not really expecting anyone to have shown up. I'm glad you're here! (Though it sounds like you're going to leave soon.) :)

Anything exciting going on?

:goodvibes yep....i am home alone:banana: ...worked 12 hours yesterday and came home and passed out...went to work OT from 9-1 and then went over to the babys house and stayed and watched him till about an hour ago...got something to eat cause I was starving and I thought I would DIS till I feel like passing out:rotfl:

Much better, thank you. Basically felt like the walking dead yesterday. I used up all my energy in a trip into Seattle to see a RAV4 with 3rd row seat that turned out not to exist. :sad2:

Things sorta went downhill after that.

I don't know. I guess I expected Staley and pix to be here. Maybe (hopefully) they aren't here because they have something better going on?

well alex...did you fall to sleep at your computer??:rotfl: i guess since your not there Im gonna go get ready for bed and watch some tv...im getting tired:cloud9: so see you later:hug:

lol... darn you sleepy heads :P

god, with school, people are calling in like crazy... :\

kinda dumb... i worked the pretzel cart for like 1.5 hour today... kinda laaaaaame...

Hello Hyenas :)

I watched Material Girls on DVD with Hilary Duff. It even had the guy who played Data from star trek the next generation. haha

I'm at a restaurant called Cable's. It looks like a old fashioned truck stop or something. They have the best fried chicken! It's $7.95 for half a chicken! Too much food! :faint:
