OMG, my bf, my brother and my little sister and I had a Yu-Gi-Oh phase. I used to play in "tournaments" against adults (all males of course). One guy was sooooo arrogant and it has his turn to duel me. I didn't even try and I beat him in less than 10 minutes. He got pissed and left the store and never came back!! 
DS7 just liked to watch the cartoon on Saturday mornings. He said, "Mama, I'm so sad, because they don't show it anymore. Can we get this?" He blinked those big brown eyes at me, and it was impossible to say no. Besides, I figured for $5.50 and as often as they watch these things, it would be well spent.
In college we used to have dart tournaments. Several of the guys were very good, and my girlfriend and I were really not, but used to hang out with the guys, so one time we were invited into the tournament. What the heck, why not...
So these guys were so good I was sure I'd be out quickly, but I beat the first few guys who didn't play seriously. Some guys were impressed, and I just kept it light. I'd played some, so I wasn't a total newbie, but certainly not at my BF's level (now my DH.) Anyway, so once the casual players were weeded out (except me) I was against a guy who took darts very seriously. He was convinced he was going to win, and was very arrogant. I got a few lucky shots and beat him. Badly. He was seriously ticked off! My BF's friend was telling me how impressed he was, and gently teasing the guy, while of course his own friends are seriously ribbing him. I was sorta freaked out myself, but I was glad I knocked out the arrogant guy.
Of course, I bit it in the next round, but I think I was in the top 4, very surprising! (I think there were 20 or so people at the outset.)
My verdict: I liked it!
