i need to write a poem to the tag fairy letting her know I need a new tag and post it on the boards.....i was thinking along the lines of where oh where has my little dog gone..but using tag fairy instead of dog:lmao:

ooooo, careful. i've read that the tag fairy hates begging for tags! And some people have complained that they got a lame tag, and next thing they knew, ALL their tags were gone!

Don't mess with the tag fairy!!! :rotfl:

I heard some people donated their tags. :confused3

Exactly how does one get tagged?

lol, i think my tag is what made me famous... :\

and people dont learn... :\

Hi Albort!

My kids and I are going to keep our eyes out for you on our trip at the end of October. Is your siggy pic of you. Any clues? Do I get 20 questions to help us out?

Can't wait to see if we can find you!
************

*sigh* hope this attention doesnt get me in trouble :P

So does the Tag Fairy just take something that you have writen and turn it in to a Tag? Or do they just make things up to put there?

Hey Moto! What's up?? You still here??

Yep, the Tag Fairy usually finds something you've written in one of your posts and makes it your tag. As you can see from my homemade tag I am wearing Tag Fairy Repellant. I can say anything stupid I want and I never seem to get tagged!:confused3

Wow, and you have alot of posts too. I used to post on the "Profile of a Tag Fairy" thread but I never got tagged there either.

It's a paper bag scrapbook! It's for my BFF's little girl. She was diganosed with Dandy Walker syndrome last month and is having brain surgery on Monday. Pretty much Dandy Walker is a cyst that formed before she was born while the baby was developing. It is blocking fluid that is in the brain from going where it is supposed to go so they have to put in 2 shunts that will drain into her stomach. She's only 17 months. I am really worried for her and my BFF. Everything happened so fast. No one really thought anything was wrong with Alyssa but the doctors did note that her head was larger than average. The dr finally did a CT scan last month becuase Alyssa still has never crawled or walked. Hopefully once they get the pressure off her brain she will start to progress but this is a pretty rare disese and theres really not much info about around.

WOW!
I've always wanted to do scrapbooking but I'm not very crafty,, and I don't know how to draw a straight line to save my life

I've herad of Dandy Walker syndrome before.. can't remember if it was as in LPN classes or child development/ special needs education classes.

Children are suprisingly resilent little creatures. A child can recover from surgery in half the time an adult would for the same surgery.

But yeah.. it's a scary diagnosis and brimming with "what if" questions for the parents.

I wish your friend and her little one all the best.

I had never heard of it before this. She is having her surgery done at Cedar Siani, and everyone's been telling me that that is the best hospital around. So everyone think happy thoughts for her on Monday or pray if you're the praying type. It will really mean alot.

I will join the "everyone" group.. Cedar Sinai is an excellent hospital.
They do lots of research, very well known around the world.

Hopefully everything will be okay. Alyssa already does alot of things that kids with DWS aren't "supposed" to do. If you hold her hands she trys to walk, she just is very wobbley. She can sit up, feed herself.

Those are all very good signs.
:goodvibes

-----------------------
I'm in awe of what hospitals and good doctors can do to help children.
My youngest nephew was born a full 4 months premature. In any other hospital they would have not tried to save him. The hsopital he was born at has an awesome NICU, they push the envelope and are able to have good outcomes on 23 weekers.
Born at 1 pound, one ounce with yeast infection on his skin.. they really weren't sure if he would make it. He's now 18 months old, walking and talking, a bit delayed in speech but doesn't have any health issues (just asthma).

He's another kid that is doing things he wasn't "suppose" to do :goodvibes

Just postins so it doesn't fall to page three.. I detest searchng for all time fave thread :flower3:

Someone posted this on the DL pic of the day thread. It's of that cheatin Minnie again! :sad2:
