No kidding!!! I would never expect (or demand) special treatment like that!!!

Me either. It's funny how a few bad experiences can ruin for everyone though.

There is a fish and chips place across the street, and they're always kinda rude to us but we never thought much of it, anyway one day dh went over by himself to pick us some fish and he asked for fries and started laughing and said I mean chips. The owner laughed back, they made small chat and the owner asked where we were from. Dh said Canada, the owner said "Oh good! I thought you were from the U.S., I hate americans!"
When dh came and told me that I was horrified. It's maybe a good thing I wasn't there because I would have told hima thing or two about stereotyping. I think it's totally unfair to treat people poorly without even knowing them based on a stereo type.

Unfortunately, i been very stereotyping against Mexicans now... For the past few days, Mexican have been cheating me out constantly and complain like hell...

OK, I'm back now. Sorry about that little 14 hour interruption. The internet went down, I couldn't get it back up, DD got home from her date, and then I decided what the heck, I'll sleep for 8 hours or so!

You will be happy to know that my Pas shole has come in handy. Whenever I write a check and have to show my ID, they always look at me funny because my hair was long and now it's really short. So a couple of times I've whipped out my trusty DL AP and shown them the photo on the back. Amazing how many people will take it as a form of ID!

Unfortunately, i been very stereotyping against Mexicans now... For the past few days, Mexican have been cheating me out constantly and complain like hell...

You know it's like that though, obviously they've had a problem to cause such dislike so I can understand to some degree...
the girl upstairs from Texas embarrasses me to no end when we go out because she always LOUDLY declares how much better the states are than Scotland. And how she hates this and she hates that, so there are those than spoil for everyone. It just sucks when you happen to be the one that isn't like that but you have to go around in disguise to avoid poor treatment.

We were told when we visit France to make sure we have our Canadian Flags somewhere on our clothes or backpack so people know we're canadian. It all makes me nervous.

Thanks for that tip Christina. Now I know what to wear when I travel. From now on it's red, white & maple leafs for me. I will start calling everyone a Hoser and say Eh?? Any other words I need to know??

yeah, Working at Disneyland has made me pretty racist as well as embarrased for my own race...

Thanks for that tip Christina. Now I know what to wear when I travel. From now on it's red, white & maple leafs for me. I will start calling everyone a Hoser and say Eh?? Any other words I need to know??

lol! No on says hoser, If you say eh people will know immediately, even though I never say eh, it's a common canadian stereotype lol. You should get the east canadian accent, they're terrible. They say eh alot, and they say the word aboat instead of about. It's May -o -naise, not mannaise. lol. And smile and laugh at everything, even if you get punched in the head. Oh and say sorry a lot, it's sorey not sawry if you're speaking with the east Canadian accent.

Burgerville is a sacred Northwest entity that we won't allow outside the borders of Oregon & Washington. They are a fast food hamburger chain, but their food is very fresh, no frozen patties. They also make seasonal local specialties. Right now is fresh Walla Walla onion rings and blackberry shakes. They make an awesome Tillamook Pepper Bacon Cheeseburger that I think contains about 700 calories and who knows how much fat!

Baja Fresh - fast mexican food. But all fresh, no preservatives, etc...

Yeah Canada has opened my eyes to other races. We would get alot of foreigners that move to our country illegally or otherwise and then demand that we conform to their lifestyle and eventually it get's on your nerves and you start stereotyping them all. So I know where you're coming from.

mmm Burgerville smells (haha I meant to say sounds but I'll leave smells because it made me giggle) alot like Peter's drive in, in Calgary. If any of you travel to Calgary you MUST stop at Pete's. It's all fresh hamburgers and many other yummies. The best ice cream and milkshakes and my god they're huge. Do NOT order a large fries, it literally comes in a box. It's sooo delicious and now I'm wanting to go there. And Peter's is only in Calgary, they refuse to be a chain and have turned down many offers because they don't want to lose their quality or reputation. They have walk up windows or drive thru's it so cute, and then little picnic tables everywhere for you to sit and eat. mmmmm

Yes, I've been know to hate old, young, male, female, short, tall, pretty, ugly, pretty ugly, white, black, blue, orange, brown, pink, thin, chunky, etc... I don't hate my own race, because I'm a Heinz 57 and I have no idea what race I am!

I do have one little complaint about the Canadians. We end up with all of your change (money) down here! It won't work in the vending machines and we have tons of it. Is there some particular reason you can't make your money the same size as ours? You guys just had to make it a little bit smaller didn't you? Just to mess us up!

WooHoo! One of my bosses just stopped by to see if I wanted to meet him for lunch. So now I get to have a nice lunch at McGrath's Seafood Rest. I love their grilled shrimp and rice!! They have really good crab wontons w/plum sauce for an appetizer that we always get too!

That just sounds way better than fast food! Not to mention that it's free!!! Just have to leave in about 10 minutes to meet him there. Have I mentioned that I LOVE my job!

ahem, we get your change all the time too! Why can't your change be the same as ours? Ours is prettier.
