We have more fun waiting until Halloween night and then we run around the house like crazy trying to put costumes together. It's so much more fun than buying one. But I know when the kids are little they like getting a store bought one. I hope DS is old enough this year that he won't want to get one from the store.

Is it just me or does Kimora have a long giraffe-like neck? :confused3

It's just you!:lmao: :lmao: JK!

Hubby had a run-in with a snobby lady at Target .

Everyone was scounging thru school supplies at Target (they don't give out lists of supplies before school- so dumb!) , really crowded and you see parents stressing out, kids upset, its getting late and everyone is crabby...

well this lady and her SO (cart next to thme too) were having a chit chat with another couple smack dab in the middle of the school supplies area. Blocking access to walkways and to one side of the supplies.

First time thru hubby to get index cards.. managed to sneak behind the other couple and had enough wiggle room to snag the cards and inch back out. Except I needed another set of cards.. this time the other couple had inched even closer to the aisle and there was no room on either side to try to get behind them (lots of shoppers in one area).
He said "exuse me, I need something here" and walked between the couples talking... snatched the cards and quickly got out of the way.

Well the lady closest to us .. scowled and started remarking "that was rude!" and started glaring at me and making more remarks.. :scared1:

I'm like ***???

I wanted to ask her why she thought the need to reprimand ME for my husband's actions.
In passing I said "he did say excuse me" before we high tailed it out of there.. to find a very nice cashier who smiled, chit chatted and made us feel ubber better after that confrontation.

My goodness!! I almost wanted to ask.. so bleaching your hair blonde gives you the right to own the aisle??? and be a snob to the "lesser" people in the store?? Go Shop somewhere lese and get the "F" out of the way!

Does someone need a Happy Pill! Oh, never mind, you went to Target not Walmart. These are Walmart's new $4 prescriptions! Seriously though, that kind of stuff used to bother me, now it just cracks me up!

I don't like it when people do that either! :sad2: It's even worse when people do that in their cars and block traffic because they want to talk to each other. GET OUT OF THE WAY AND PARK YOUR CAR!!!

I like to put Vaseline on my face and put coffee grounds on it and dress up like a bum for Halloween!:thumbsup2 Of course you all seen my ugly housewife halloween costume photo from a couple of years ago. Seriously guys, the garage & house is full of great costumes.

I found that kid's get scared of costumes in general when they are toddler/ not quite preschooler.
Noah would cry when hubby put on a costume or mask.. he had to take it off and say "see it's me, it's ok.. I'm still Daddy".

Poor kid was terrified.

For the longest time he didn't like the Halloween shops and at the mall someone would have to sit with him if we wanted to look at the creepy stuff at Spencer's.

DD has 6 minutes to get home. Will she make it on time?? That's funny, I just typed that and I can hear them pulling up into the driveway!:rotfl2:

Shall I start flickering the porch light off & on!!! ?? Hehehehehe!!:lmao: :lmao:

We had a HUGE TV box full of costume parts.. capes, glasses, wigs, beads, armour, fake hatchets, masks

Now we have a very small box of a few items.

The boys are getting to the age where we just don't need it all. OR they get more selective about what they want for a specific event. No more scorunging thru the box to invent a persona for Halloween .. minutes before leaving the house for trick or treating.

My sis had to teach her DS with Autism how to do trick or treating. They had it as part of hsi daily therapy program.. how to say Trick or Treat, thank you and NOT entering a stranger's house when you knock on the door. The first year his brother took him.. he knocked, got the treat and then started exploring the person's house. My nephew freaked and couldn't figure out what he should do to get him back outside. His dad was nearby and had to go collect him.. explaining his behavior.

The next year was much better!

Aw... Goodnight Alison! :goodvibes

I disappeared for a moment- had to take a shower and wash my hair. It's too hot!! :faint:

Awwww!!! At least he went though! We took Alex when he was 2, and he stood in the middle of the cul-de-sac behind my parents house crying because everyone had Jack-o-Lanterns outside their house!:lmao: :lmao:

Noah JUST started going into Haloween stores last year!! He's 11 now!

He just told me, "mom , I still don't like that store" (Spencer's)
He's my lil one, I don't mind holding onto him for a little while longer.
