Unpack your Adjectives! Updated 6/2

Hey there! Welcome!
Hmm...the dh is pretty cool about shopping in general. I don't know what the secret is. I didn't 'shop' as I would have if I'd gone with a friend. I didn't shop as I would have if I lived in Phoenix and shopping was something I did every day.
In other words, there was no 'lingering' or 'comparing' or 'waiting on tomorrow'. It was speed shopping.
You live in Alaska. You know how it is.;) When we lived there, shopping was a rare treat as well. Not as rare as it is here, but still. I mean, we had Starbucks in Fairbanks.;)

I see. Your "shopping" sounds more like a sporting event. That just might work ...
That's cool that you've lived in Alaska! I'm from Juneau. Never been to Fairbanks, but my little brother went to school there. I wouldn't mind moving, but I guess Alaska's pretty and all.

How fabulous that you live abroad and can visit other countries as well! :worship: DH is in the Army Reserve, and at one point could have gone to Germany full time. Before my nephew was born, I would have left tomorrow, but now I can't.

I go to MaM all the time and never seem to have anywhere near as much excitement as you had! Since I'm too old, and to short and fat, to shop at Anthropologie, I stick to Talbots and Brighton which aren't as hip, I guess. :rolleyes1

Yes Miss V has properly pimped you out...and rightfully so...great read so far...can't wait for more!!!!

Oh V was right! You're TR is hilarious!

For all those who wonder: we DO have shopping in Belgium too, you know. We even have Chanel stores!!!!

Just found your trip report and loving every minute of it.

Thanks and welcome!

Subscribing ASAP! :)
..and can I just add that if you forget your pile cream in all your DisneyWorld Preparation (H), you'll pay as much for it at the store in the Swolphin as you would for a Belgium gallon of gas?
I'm just sayin'..........

Lovin' this TR!

I don't really want to ask this, but, um, did you purchasing pile cream at the Swolphin look like any of those standard sitcom episodes where the person is buying something embarrassing and ends up buying 50 other things they don't need in the process?

'Yes, I'll take 3 Mickey Dolls, 2 bags of chips, a pair of crocs, some of those Rice Krispie treats, a beach towel, nailclippers, and *coughpilecreamcough*'?

lol I am lovin your TR!!!:cool1:
You are too funny!!:rotfl2:

Thank you!

Briarmom, I can't believe you didn't work in that line from A Christmas Story to describe your shopping spree ...

Allow me:

We plunged into the cornucopia quivering with anticipation and the ecstasy of unbridled avarice. :rotfl2:

Not that it's a bad thing ... it just sort of struck me while I was reading and snorting and giggling and wishing I could join you on a shop-a-thon of such magnitude.

Wonderful update ... am looking forward to more ... I really am! :goodvibes

Ah, I lurve that movie. I guess pink bunny suit just didn't cross my mind while I was recapping my Olympic gold medal performance in shopping.:rotfl:

I cannot imagine not being able to pick up and go peruse the local mall.

Ah, no worries. We have it pretty good here.

I see. Your "shopping" sounds more like a sporting event. That just might work ...

Alaska is beautiful!

Tell MaM I said hello.:lovestruc

Loving your TR, it's hilarious, I'm so glad V pimped it out :rotfl2:

Oh V was right! You're TR is hilarious!

Welcome all! What did Miss V do?

For all those who wonder: we DO have shopping in Belgium too, you know. We even have Chanel stores!!!!

We do? Chanel?
Yeah, I know there's shopping, but we get paid in dollars. Plus I don't get a lot of time to run around here.

A new chapter will be up sometime. :rolleyes1

V pimped you out on our Focker Watcher thread. She said your TR was fabu...and she is right girlfriend!

I don't really want to ask this, but, um, did you purchasing pile cream at the Swolphin look like any of those standard sitcom episodes where the person is buying something embarrassing and ends up buying 50 other things they don't need in the process?

Well, that honestly was the plan at first. Then when I saw the near $12.00 price tag (and this was 8 or so years ago) I figured that pile cream must be something to be proud of. I was tempted to carry it out of the store bagless and display the price tag so all could see. My new status symbol of sorts...you can keep your Chanel, I can afford Preparation H at WDW! :rolleyes1

We didn't see a Krispy Kreme, but we weren't looking for one.
There is, indeed a Chanel. If you go to the website, you can see it.
I didn't even go in. I'd bought some lipglosses and a nail polish at Neiman Marcus, but that's it. I wear their sunglasses, but I just felt too underdressed to go in.:cloud9:
I wouldn't have bought a suit or a sweater anyway, so it was just as well.

I entered their boutiques in Beverly Hills and Berlin, underdressed but wearing their sunglasses. We spoke French, and that did the trick to get good service. Too bad they didn't have the sunglasses I wanted... :rolleyes1:
They had a nice jacker though, it wa sonly about 5000 USD, sure why not... :faint:

Thanks and welcome!
We do? Chanel?
Yeah, I know there's shopping, but we get paid in dollars. Plus I don't get a lot of time to run around here.

Chanel: Bld de Waterloo in Brussels, in between the courthouse and the Hilton hotel!

Getting paid in dollars must suck though :(

I should take you on a window-shopping spree through the better parts of Brussels!

I am LOVING your writing style!!
I am very jealous of your mass traveling!! (although bombers and c4 keep running through my mind. Not sure why:confused3 ...)

I can't wait for more!! popcorn::
And not that I am pushy or anything but throw a dog a bone will 'ya? I WANT PICTURES!! Even if it's just Brussels (just..haha)!! ::yes::

Hello all! I have not forgotten about my trip report, I promise.
My computer crashed about 10 days before we left for our month long trip to the US, so I have lost EVERYTHING. (Hello, Apple? Yeah, if I could have all the money I spent on iTunes back since my hard drive was faulty, that'd be great:rolleyes: )

Anyway, I should still be able to get a chapter done this week even though I'm in the States. I send the dh back to Belgium tomorrow and I'll have a bit of time off to breathe and write, even though my mom's laptop is bizarre to me.

Thanks to everyone who is still hanging on out there!

Oh, and I found a Blahnik sale at the Mall of America! :yay: They go great with about 4 of the new outfits I bought at anthropologie on this trip...

Oh no!!!! Any hope of retrieving some files?

And WOO HOOO on the Blahnik sale! :cool1:

Bomb, dear,

Just found your TR and I was all like :cool1: and like :yay: and even a little like :cheer2: , so I'm just saying  and :flower3: and  and get on with the updating already, woman!
