Unofficial vs. TourGuideMike

I am planning a WDW trip for Dec. I bought the Unofficial Guide and find it VERY informative! My question is, should I get TourGuideMike too? What is the difference between the two, if any?

I got the UG and read it cover to cover, then found out about TGM. I find them complementary. TourGuideMike can give up to date information, and his touring information is, in my opinion, more logical.

I did both, and prefer TGM...it is more up to date and he had allot of good tips

For me, I read the unofficial guide, the Birnbaum official guide, TourGuide Mike, and many different boards. I would recommend both because the more information you have, the easier it is for you to change your plans as events unfold. I had a basic plan together of what we intended to do. However, if it rained for part of a day, or something came up that someone really wanted to do, I was able to adjust based on all the great info that I had.

TourGuide Mike does have some awesome info that I didn't find anywhere else. If you didn't do anything else, the money for his site is well-spent. You do have to be prepared to read and digest the info.

If you do get the guide, make sure you also go to Touringplans and get their best days. Also be advised, as Disney changes schedules, these change too. And do keep up with the blogs

Also, make sure you understand the concepts rather than just get a plan and try and follow it. The reason is you will have to adjust on the fly. And if you do not know the concepts, you won't be able to.

Thanks so much for all your help. I had NO IDEA that going to WDW was so "scientific"! I will definitely look into getting the Tour Guide Mike book. I have already looked at his website.
