I'm SOOOO excited! We upgraded to Coronado Springs!!! We also shaved 1 day off of our trip since we're driving back to Michigan and want to have some time to rest before all of the craziness begins on Monday. Our new dates are March 3-9. I am literally on !!!

Nope...no plane tickets yet. BUT our department had our Christmas party today. I work as an Administrative Assistant at a small local university. Well, the faculty member from my department gave me $240 for Christmas today!!! It was all in cash that they had all donated. I have worked here for 2yrs & they have never done this before. I am so excited & overwhelmed. I have decided to do something for myself with the $40 and book something special at Disney for the family with the $200.

So Dis friends...ideas about something cool for our family to do that costs $200 or less??? We are a family of five: mommy, daddy, DD12, DD9 and DS 5. I would love to have your ideas and input!!!

okay, so I want to check on a fireworks cruise, but DH brought up a very valid point....It's gonna be cold! Probably true since we are going the first week of March. So maybe the Dessert Party is a good alternative...we shall see.

I'm hoping and praying for good weather since our last trip this past January was beyond freezing and we're New Enlanders so we know COLD!! We are celebrating out 7 year anniversary and may even end up ENGAGED on this trip so we are going all out on dining. We are on the free dining plan but are spluring ontop of it. Oh yea, I am gluten free and he is worry free. Here are our ADR:

Thank you all for the congratulations!!! Last time we stayed at Pop, it was very fun but we wanted a little bit more of a relaxing trip this time. I'm just so excited I can't even stand it!

okay, so I want to check on a fireworks cruise, but DH brought up a very valid point....It's gonna be cold! Probably true since we are going the first week of March. So maybe the Dessert Party is a good alternative...we shall see.

How cold is it going to be?! It's Florida and I'm from Michigan. At least it will be warmer on vacation. We're also going the first week of March and picked a moderate resort so we could have more pool time.

That sounds like such a fantastic vacation with a lot of very nice ADR's! We just switched to CBR. It sounds like you are very familiar with this resort. Do you want to tell me what you love and what you don't really love? I'm off to research it a lot more today. It looks beautiful from the pictures though.

I do love this resort I have just stayed there multiple times so I am getting bored. Tried to book CSR through Jetblue but they gave us CBR instead claiming CSR was booked up already (this was back in SEPT!!) What ever you do, Do NOT believe all the HORRIFIC reviews on tripadvisor. I swear people just love to complain? I first stayed at CBR in 2006 with my mom and I LOVED it. The grounds are gorgeous and the wildlife is funny. I squirrel sat next to me on a park bench. The rooms are ok. If you aren't sharing a bed with someone then youre fine. Squishing two people into a full sized bed isn't that great and coming from me ( I'm tiny, I am only 5 foot 1!) that's kind of sad. The food court is really nice, they took my food allergy very serious which I appreciate. Loved the quiet pools in 2006, this past Jan was WAY too cold to swim. Hmmm lets see what else, The check in process was always a breeze and the staff is super nice. The hotel is MASSIVE and very spread out so try to request a room either near the food courtish or near a bus stop. I stayed in Aruba with my bf and it was great since we used the bus system. My mom and I stayed in Barbados which was far from everything BUT we had a car so it didn't matter. I have no real hatred toward anything at this hotel as I said, I am just bored with it. I hope you love it though!!

I am sure my family will love it. I also told them when I made the reservation that DD9 will be having a birthday 4 days later, so I am sure they will create a little magic for her too... I just love Disney!!!

I also see that you'll be at Epcot on 3/8: There's a bunch of us who will be in Epcot that day, you should totally meet up with us and have a drink or something.

pas - I think I would make a very good stand-in Gramma, and would love doing all the princess things I never was able to do since I only had 2 boys. I did drag them to CRT but back then it was King Stephens Banquet and only Cinderella was there but I did get pics of both of them with her, they were like 10 & 20 at the time and humored me.

sjs314- I now have an ADR change to accommodate the fireworks cruise. On March 11th, I have canceled Tony's at 7:30 and scheduled Crystal Palace at 4:50.
We have never tried CP, so it should be a lot of fun for the kids and I have heard the food is delicious as well. Very happy with the change. Would you mind also adding somewhere that there is a scheduled Dismeet at POR March 8th from 9-10pm at the Yeeha Bob show in the River's Roost Lounge? THANKS!!!!

For now, here are our plans:

Saturday (3rd) - Arrive at Disney , Check in to CSR, head to MK for Wishes

Sunday (4th) - Animal Kingdom with lunch at Yak & Yeti (1:00pm) if we don't poop out first; relax that evening at CBR with dinner at Maya Grill (6:00pm) if we didn't go to Y&Y for lunch

Monday (5th) - Hollywood Studios and dinner at 'Ohana (8:20pm) {I'm *really* hoping to score an earlier ADR since this is really late for us. I just cannot pass up 'Ohana though. It's my favorite!}

Tuesday (6th) - Magic Kingdom with an early dinner at Crystal Palace (4:40pm)

Wednesday (7th) - Epcot for the first day of Flower & Garden with Lunch at Le Cellier (12:45pm)

Thursday (8th) - early entry into Magic Kingdom for breakfast at the castle (8:25am) We probably won't spend very much time at MK this day because its supposed to be SUPER packed, like an 8.5 from Touring Plans. We are going to relax at Coronado for the rest of the day.

Friday (9th) - Check out then head to Downtown Disney to stock up on treats from Goofy's Candy Store and to have an early lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express. We'll be starting our drive back home to Michigan.

No worries................all these DIS abbreviations can get very confusing at times, I just did not want to have you listed at the wrong resort. It is all good

I stupidly cancelled an ADR for 5pm for 'Ohana when I was re-doing my ADRs after switching from CR to BWI. I have to learn to read more carefully when that lil window pops up when your making a new reservation. DH says he does not really care if we miss eating at 'Ohana's (have never been there) but I keep checking to see if something might open up on our MK day as of now there is only a 9:20 which is really late for us, we could go after Wishes but I think we might just be better off with our current plan of dinner at Tony's(never been there either)and then the Dessert Party.

Thanks for adding me to the lists! I LOVE the idea of getting engaged in Disney too. I truely hope it happens. We have been together for almost 7 years so it SHOULD! =) And a big thanks to Lidian, L-Harper, and Oopsidaisy for loving my ADR's and wishing me good luck with my engagement hopes and dreams I'm so glad I found this forum!!! Have any of you been to Ohana? I am so curious to see how dinner is there. I LOVED breakfast so I have high hopes on dinner.
