Please note that there are some dates still open, which is why they're not listed here. Also ... this list (as are all things at Disney! :D ) is subject to change.

Rita Moreno (11/26-28)
Kirk Franklin (12/2-4)
Marlee Matlin (12/8-10)
Joshua Morrow (12/11-13)
Hal Holbrook (12/14-16)
Steven Curtis Chapman (12/17-19)
Edward James Olmos (12/20-22)
Levar Burton (12/29-30)

Still tentative on Gary Sinise, although it's likely that he'll pick up Christmas week again if it can fit into his schedule.

:earsboy:

I notice Andy Garcia is not on the list. Did anyone see him last year? He narrated the day after thanksgiving. While he was great to look at, his narration was a little less than inspitational. Reminded me of the directv commercial he does. However, the program was very inspirational. I am so glad I made it. Hoping to be there this year as well.

Although I didn't see Andy Garcia, I did see both Miss America (Erica Dunlap?), and David Ogden Stiers who were both very good. Don't see their names this year-hope at least one is in the TBA areas.

Kirk Franklin is a gospel singer. He leads a choir that, from the cd I own, and from what I have heard, is a little "hipper." Personally, I was disappointed with the cd, but Franklin himself has a decent voice.

My question was going to be who is Joshua Morrow? But I looked it up and (in case anyone was out of the loop like me) he's an actor on Young and the Restless (or something like that).

Last year we saw Ben Vereen. I thought he was very good, but then being our first CP, I had no one to compare him with. Of course, December 6, when I have this "penciled" in on my schedule is not on there yet, oh well. :confused3

We had David Ogden Stiers last year. Looks like Rita Moreno this year. I can live with that.

In the past we have seen James Avery, Gary Sinise, and Andy Garcia. James Avery was awesome, we liked Andy Garcia, and we do not care to see Gary Sinise again. So, our choices look like Edward James Olmos or Steven Curtis Chapman. Any opinions on either of these?

This list looks a lot like the narrators from 2003 minus Robby Benson. Do these narrators often come back year after year?

So...Christmas Eve could be Gary Sinise? Who is he? Are there more people out there who didn't care for his narration? Why?

2 words: Lieutenant Dan! He was the guy who lost his leg in Forrest Gump.

We saw Andy Garcia 3 years ago and he was great. We saw him last year and he was not too good. It seemed like when he did it for the first time he was in awe of the production, but got a little too playful last year.

We saw Gary Sinise in December 2002. He was VERY stiff and formal. No emotion at all. After having seen James Avery the year before, we were quite disappointed. Last November we saw Andy Garcia and actually thought he was very good. He read with a good bit of emotion and seemed to really enjoy himself. The CP is wonderful, but the narrator just adds a little extra.

"Lieutenant Dan" (AKA Gary Sinese) is also starring in a new TV series this year, about CSI:New York. He might not have time to appear for the CP.

I can't imagine that Gary Sinese would pass up a trip to WDW. We enjoyed his narration. Looking forward to hearing some of the others this year.

Oh wow! I'll be there when Marlee Matlin is doing it! Someone told me that as she's doing sign language, someone else speaks.
I heard she was really good.

I'll hope to catch her show.

Last year we saw Ben Vereen do the narration. In all the years we have been going to the Candlelight, he was by far the worst narrator we have ever heard. Without going into any details, I am not surprised he is not on the list this year.

I would be astonished and angry if Disney would ever allow him to participate again.

ugadog99, we've got to stop meeting like this - I noticed our June trips were at the same time, and now it looks like we'll be in the World at the same time again! :p

I would also like to know more about Edward James Olmos or Steven Curtis Chapman so we can decide when to do CP. I think they've both narrated CP in the past (although I'm not sure) so hopefully someone will be able to fill us in.

We saw Gary Sinise December 2002, and we enjoyed his narration, although I can see where it might have been a bit subdued for some people.

We had her as our narrator 2 years ago, we really enjoyed it, I'm sorry we won't be there during those days this year.

Steven Curtis Chapman is one of the best Contemporary christian singers there is. He has littlery houndreds of songs he writes and sings. I think his voice would be great.

Gary Sinese is an actor. He was in the movie Apollo 13, and I beleve he was in the movie Ransom.
