So I've run out of room for stamps (:scared1:) and I've decided to try unmounting them and using the dvd cases you can by from SU. I've got a couple of ?'s for those that have tried this.

Did you buy the SU stuff they sell to do this and if so how'd it work? I find that even new the cling isn't real clingy.

Or did you try another method and if so what was it and would you do it that way again?

Has anyone tried the method of using the Tombow with the green caps to put on the sticker that came off the wood?

I've got to do something I'm going for another class next week and never fail I get at least 1 set that she's getting rid of everytime I'm there.

thank you all

When I went to a class last time some of the stamps weren't really clingy and it was suggested that you should create static electricity to make them more clingy. You can rub them on your pants quickly. If they need more than that then we were rubbing them on the tv (which was off).

Rebecca thanks for the tip on the pants rubbing why i didn't think of that :confused3 that will work for the new ones.

I love my wooden stamps - I just made more space for them so I could buy more, lol. Even have a list of discontinued ones on the wish list. I did unmount my wheels, though. Never could run them straight.

Linda I have the same problem with the wheels. Even with the guide thing one end will be off. I've thought about unmounting them. How do you hold them on the block to use them?

I have/had 2 drawers that were 2'wide by 2'6" deep jammed full of them and they were standing on the narrow end. I had NO place left to put them, and we can't have that. All the new SU sets I buy are clear ones. I will never unmount my small alphas/numbers or the little word sets like amazing to zany. but the ease of putting 2 santa sets in the same case right now really works for me. When I'm done I will be able to get all the "regular" sets on the first shelf Tom built, the one that has the narrower bottem shelf.

Unmounted wheels - cut at the seam, tease up one edge and peel off the rubber. Then use EZmount or whatever that foam stuff is to back it. Apply to a block in the usual way.
