Hey everyone,

Long time lurker but decided to make an account. I just got an ad for a website, call unlocked magic and it’s supposed to help plan Disney vacations. It’s a paid service so I wanted to see if anyone has tried it? Is it worth the money?

The ad came from DVCresalemarket and I know they sponsor the DIS so I assume it’s legit?

I never heard of "unlocked magic" and so can't answer your first two questions. However, there is something you wrote that has me a bit confused and rather suspicious. How did the ad "come" from DVCresale market? Are you saying you saw it on the DVCresalemarket.com website? or did you get an email supposedly from dvcresalemarket? or otherwise?

I looked at the DVCresalemarket.com website and didn't notice any ads for other businesses unless you count the "We recommend and are recommended by" portion of its homepage . . . and unlocked magic is not listed among those businesses. If it came via email, have you given DVCresalemarket your email address? If I got an email from any business that I didn't give my email address to, I'd be very suspicious.

Good luck, but I would not assume that just because DVCresalemarket is legit that anything that purportedly comes from them is actually from them and is legit.

Reviving this thread--got an email today for 1 month free on Unlocked Magic, a new site from DVC Rental--isn't that this company, the one that owns Disboards?

isn't that this company, the one that owns Disboards?
No. The DISboards is owned by the same owners as DreamsUnlimitedTravel.com. The sponsor of the Disney Vacation Club forums is mentioned above, but not the same as the rental company you mentioned. From which company did you receive the ad - the same as the OP or the business you mentioned?

I don't understand the business model for this website. Why pay to have access to a community/forum when there's this great disboards community and others across the internet available for free (which I also think is kind of shady of them to sponsor the DVC show and build some kind of competing community to disboards). I get dining alerts through touring plans, which I'll happily pay for for the room finder/reservation tool and the lines app. And I can use any reputable third party ticket broker for discounted tickets like undercover tourist, no monthly/annual payment required to "save".

I have a contract in escrow thru dvcresalemarket.com and they sent me a free 3 months trial of Unlocked Magic (but still required my credit card to access it?). I will try to post more comments on it when I've used it longer - so far it seems to have the same info we find all over the net, but laid out easier. They do have tickets to WDW comparable to UT but a couple dollars cheaper (did not see anything about the refund policy like UT has), a dining reservations opening notification, and the same link (I believe) to check DVC room availability I've seen elsewhere. Most of it is very very similar to Disboards in content. So far, not sold on a $6/Mo or $50/Year charge for it. Like this site, it has a "sponsor" so you can presume it will not allow "content" that is not to the benefit of the sponsor.

Reviving this thread to hopefully get some feedback. I’d like to hear from people who’ve joined and used what you think about it. Thanks

Has anyone bought and used discount wdw tickets through the unlocked magic site? I'm close to trying them but looking for a few reviews first. Thanks
