just purchased the 7 day unlimited and printed the tix at home. has anyone used the home tix before. any problems scanning, entering park or should i change it to the electonic pick-up

me my dw and 2 ds's used them in june and when we got to universal we went to guest services window and got regular tickets so we wouldn't have to carry around big peices of paper and all you have to do is give them the print at home tickets and show your id and usually the one that bought the tickets is the only one that has to show thier id and then they give you the regular tickets.
we are going to do the samething this year if the offer doesn't run out on us before we can get the tickets.

WELL IF YOU KEEP THE PRINT OUT AND IT GETS WET OR TEARS THE YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO GUEST SERVICES ANYWAY AND THIS WAY THE REGULAR TICKETS YOU CAN KEEP IN YOUR WALLET OR PURSE PLUS IT A WHOLE LOT MORE DURABLE

Yes, exactly.

If you already know that you don't want the print at home type tickets, then just choose the kiosk pickup instead.

Some advantages to print at home:
Print at Home saves time. It also works for those who won't have the same credit card they purchased the tickets with. You don't have to remember to take the confirmation number on your vacation. If the person who ordered the tickets for you isn't going (for example mom is paying for her son and his college friends to go but mom isn't going) then you wouldn't be able to use kiosk pick up. If you're worried about the print at home getting wet, just make extra copies and use a new one each day you are there.

My suggestion is to decide on what type of delivery you want, either kiosk or print at home and go with that.

Also just as back up even if you don't plan to use it bring the credit card you used to purchase the tickets, I purchased our groups (12ppl) tickets for our trip in Oct and printed them out for everyone so no one would forget their tickets we get to the gate and guess what? the bag with everyones ticket is in our rental home 15-20 mins away at this point I'm almost in tears. I go to guess services give them the credit card I used to buy the tickets, less then 10 mins I have all 12 tickets and we're on our way.

Just as side note.......................

My aunt didn't plan on going to any parks while there because of recent back surgery so we didn't get her a ticket. Once we got their she change her mind and wanted and ticket for a day or two the girl at guess services said it would be cheaper just to the the unlimited pass thats offered only online, she call the 800 number used our credit card to get her the pass for 85.00 ( she used it 4 days of the 7 we were there I love Universal!!!!!
