Last question for the night :rotfl2:We haven't been on a Disney cruise since 2012 and I can't recall if DCL offers an unlimited drink package. I looked on website but was UTL :surfweb:

Thanks!!!:jumping1:

I really wish Disney had this... other cruise lines offer it and I have always liked the convenience. Maybe in the future?

I think there is a demand. Two groups I was apart of on FB related to Disney Cruising were constantly posting, talking about how they wished DCL had a drink package.

Do you mean alcohol? Because like Bear3412 said, you already get unlimited soft drinks. There are wine packages. Not sure if a lot of people would buy alcoholic unlimited packages. Between mixology, drink of the day, two for one drink deals and wine at dinner most people are good. And now they have dole whip with rum. You already have to be careful not to overdo it.

Where and when are these 2 for 1 drink deals that you mentioned?

When booking this cruise I thought the same thing, an alcoholic drink package would be nice to be able to purchase but after thinking more about it, I totally understand why Disney does not have an unlimited alcohol package. There are so many different variables to take into consideration and I am sure Disney has done market research and looked at all the pros and cons of having an unlimited drink package, in the long run it would just cause more trouble than it would be worth to them. They want to be able to somewhat control the amount of alcohol being consumed to some extent, for the children on board, for the select few that tend to over indulge in alcoholic beverages. They do try to make up for this with the drinks of the day, the seminars, and allowing you to bring on your own alcohol.

What else would you expect for 3 X average fare.

Lol.

For those of you wanting a package, royal is now testing going back to the bad old days of requiring everyone of drinking age in a stateroom to have a package if one person gets the package. Why? Because of the cheaters.

Since drinks on Disney are a teensy bit cheaper than drinks on Royal, just stick to what you've got.

Does anyone know if Skyline on The Fantasy still offers the package where you get 6 or 7 drinks for like $50?
We sailed in late 2014 and my husband purchased it. He enjoyed trying something new every night.

I unfortunately could tell you about interactions that occurred between children and adults (who clearly had had something to drink)

I was referring to alcoholic drinks. I've noticed when purchasing mixed drinks, they are light on a pour so not really worth the cost. I get why Disney probably doesn't have alcoholic drink packages since they have a larger number of children traveling - keeps less drunks around LOL Thanks all for the help....

I've read many times, that an extra tip to the bartender makes for much better pours. Especially if you frequent the same lounge/bar and they get to know you.

definitely true - I always tip extra early and get to know a couple of bartenders. also, when on the pool deck, buying drinks from the servers walking around or the newer "pop-up" bars are weaker since they come from a pre-mixed batch. If you go to the pool bar to get the drink of the day, they typically make it fresh for you, which is much better and a bit stronger.

I dont think its necessarily to keep less drunks, believe me, they have their fair share.
I think its more to do with the family friendly atmosphere they want. Its relatively recently that you've been able to get an alcoholic drink in Magic Kingdom lol....

I have heard they have a 6 for 5 deal at skyline (pay for 5 martinis and get 6) and I know they have relatively fairly priced mixology courses. I say make your own package--put like $300 on a gift card and don't worry till it runs dry ;)

On the Fantasy back in December I got a "Passport" at Skyline. You get something like 6 drinks from their drink menu for the price of 5. Plus you can spread out the drinks over the course of the cruise; so not all at once. I thought it was a good deal and worth it.
