Universal's new ticket structure!

for once in my life I did something right...I ordered ours last Monday
Such a shame that it will cost others more though, especially if you're on a tight budget.

I think marketing tickets for 2, 3 and 4 days is a good idea, as Universal is bascially a 2 to 4 day vacation. If the purpose of the 7 day tickets was to try to get customers to come to the parks 7 days, or even 5 or 6 days, so that they would be spending money on food and merchandise, it probably did not work as most people would not want to spend that much time in just 2 parks. The pricing of new tickets will just depend on how many people are attracted to Harry Potter and how much they are willing to pay. The prices can always be adjusted if the sales are down. I think Universal will always have to keep its multi-day tickets below Disney prices - they should focus on the vacation crowd that is either looking for a 2-4 day theme park vacation or those looking to extend their Disney trip or try something different than Disney. Disney will always have the quantity advantage over Universal in that the customer can come to Disney for a week and still not get everything accomplished. That is not the case for Universal.

A little ot (maybe not even relevant) but do you this this will affect the Orlando Flex Ticket Price? We are doing all the parks mentioned in the flex ticket or I would go ahead and just get the cheap pass(while still available) thanks.

The flex ticket already went up a few days ago when SeaWorld increased their prices, so I imagine it may go up a bit more with this increase.

I just ordered my tickets through Dreams Unlimited for $99. I was feeling good until I got the email that said now they need to order the tickets from Universal. I hope their price still applies! I guess I will not be able to relax until I get final confirmation. Oh, and we are going just to Universal for 7 days. Our last trip was 4 days and wasn't long enough. There is nothing like being able to do a ride 5 times in a row with little wait, not have to run frantically to get to everything first thing in the morning before the lines get long, and be able to spend several hours relaxing at the pool without worrying that we won't see everything. Stayed at the Portifino last time but going to give the Royal Pacific a try this trip.

Don't know about this am but Undercover Tourist had them last night for the old price (looks a little higher at $108 but that includes tax and free shipping) I order six for our friends, couldn't get Dreams Unlimited to work last night.

I checked Undercover Tourist this morning after seeing this post and they were still $108.

I just went to my local AAA office and bought them for $100/ea.

Sorry to see the $99 tickets go

Hope this change in ticket structure doesn't backfire on Universal.

Are the $99 tickets good forever? I want to get them but have no idea when we can go back to Universal yet.

Thank you! I just ordered them even though it wasn't in the budget. I'll just have to delay a few things.... ;)

Good news! I ordered my $99 tickets from Dreams Unlimited about 2 hours ago and have already received confirmation from DU and Universal. So hurry and get those tickets before they run out!!!

I get done w/ work at 3, then I will buy from undercover, have used them before for dw tix and they were great. I could also use tix @ work if I needed to...fingers crossed they will still be there. I was just saying to DH last week that I would buy the tix in the next few weeks, guess that came a little early. 70 more bucks is steep, we were only using them for 2-3 days, so I guess that would be 40 more bucks a piece but that is a jump. Good luck to everyone scrambling to get the tix in time:idea:

I haven't been able to find the senior citizen annual pass either. They used to offer one, it just had admission to the parks with maybe a few blackout dates. One of my opitions I'm considering is to renew one PAP, use a 7-day pass for HHN then get 1 senior pass next January. Looks like they may have dumped that also :(

I don't think I've ever seen a senior pass. Was it listed in a different area? I only recall seeing Adult and Child.

It was a new pass they were trying out last year but I guess it didn't sell as well as they would have liked. I was trying to talk my parents into buying them last year since they come down twice a year but they didn't take advantage.

*POOF* and the $99.00 deal is GONE!!! So glad I bought our tickets already!!!

Forgive me for being so dumb, but what is HHN that everyone seems to talk about?

That's because youngsters like you don't notice that kind of stuff :cool1: It was a basic 2-park pass, about $90, with blackout dates that wouldn't have mattered to us. You had to be 55 or older to buy it.
