Universal's new ticket structure!

Is this a $70 increase for the 7 Day ticket overnight? (not like anyone would really go that long)

That's insane. HP is just 1 new ride! ha. I mean its going to be cool to see the shops & restaurants in that area but I usually dont buy merch and just eat chicken fingers or a chicken sandwich at the parks so I dont care much about that aspect of the area..2 Universal parks isn't worth it. especially with younger kids that can't go on a lot of the attractions. (my 3 year old nephew got scared at the shrek preshow so we left..he didnt really go on much)

Order now if you can from a source that is still advertising the $99.99 tickets. I ordered through my "work perks" program earlier today but have been so nervous that I'd end up getting an e-mail saying "Sorry, but it's nope after all". So I just tracked down the distributor's phone number and called to check. Believe it or not, our tickets have already been mailed - thank goodness!

Boy, I wish I had an extra $600 to buy six more for the future. . .

So if you see someplace advertising the special rate - DON'T DELAY!!!

Universal Orlando has added many things in the past several years but kept this $99 deal. Maybe if they would have raised the price $10 each year over the past 4 years it would have been easier to handle. I prefer it this way!

:cool1:Kroger in Atlanta still has the 7 day tickets for 89.99 plus tax. I just picked some up:cool1:

:scared1:Wow! That's quite a jump. Glad I won free tickets.

Maybe the price hike will cut down on the June crowds ~:laughing: ~ yeah right!!!

Please tell me Undercover Tourist is reputable. I was telling my husband over the weekend that we should get our tickets for Sept. but I was waiting to hear from our travel agent. Couldn't believe rates went up like that. I saved 150 and we have 7 day tickets instead of just the 2 we'll probably need. Thanks Disboard!

I have heard of them many times on the disboards!

That deal has been running since 2006 at least, and I think everyone should have anticipated a fairly dramatic price jump given that the "one ride" in WWHP is going to cost over $250 million......

I use Undercover tourist all the time, they are great. (used them for Disney tickets before).

On the bright side my wife did want to see places other than Orlando, this will be a good motivator. I virtually stopped going to WDW when they changed their price structure to that "Magic Your Way" caca, from a couple of days every visit to once a year or less. Universal can price me out just as easily.

It appears that you can also buy these passes at the Undercover Tourist website. I just bot 4 for an April trip. Thanks for the heads up about this deal expiring.

My wife was at our local Kroger a little while ago, the still have 28 of those passes in the rack. She was going to buy a couple but I couldn't think of any reason to. We're good for this March trip already. Our PAPs expire in July so we'll have a better idea of what's going on by then. If we don't renew we won't go to HHN, even if we bought 2 more passes it would be $14/day for parking on top of the $90 each plus HHN tickets.

We go to US/IOA because it's a deal compared to WDW. If they raise the prices to WDW levels 1 attraction isn't going to make up the difference, especially one we could care less about.

A little ot (maybe not even relevant) but do you this this will affect the Orlando Flex Ticket Price? We are doing all the parks mentioned in the flex ticket or I would go ahead and just get the cheap pass(while still available) thanks.

Wow~what a jump! I almost gave up my package last week thinking it would be cheaper to book hotel/tickets seperately- so glad I held on to it!

One interesting thing is that although the ticket prices went up, if you go to book a package online it is still showing the old price as part of the package (ok- so I was bored and started playing around...:rolleyes1)- so if anybody is interested now might be a good time to secure a package- then you only have to pay for one night security to lock in the price.

Does anyone know how this will effect tickets already purchased? I bought tickets 1-2 years ago, Will Call, and have not yet picked them up..... they were good for 7 days, both universal parks, and Wet n' Wild. They were $89, so I bought them..... knowing we would go to Universal after Potter opened.

Thanks all! I guess I should call Universal.

Your tickets will still be good and you won't have to pay anything extra. The tickets are already bought and paid for. All you need to do is pick them up when you go, either at the kiosk or at Guest services. If you use the kiosk, you will need the same credit card that you used to purchase them with. If you don't have that credit card anymore (or have forgotten which one you used), you can go to guest services will call window and show photo ID to pick them up. You won't be charged anything more.
