Universals FOTL....

To create an even infastructure such as this at WDW would be next to impossible and would create a lot more hassle and disaccord with those that do not stay on property. I think that this would turn off people who would see a lot of people going past them in line just because they chose to stay on property when not everyone can afford it, causing guests to go elsewhere, such as Universal or Sea World because of the NUMBER of people going into the fastpass lines. Imagine what it would be like at extremely busy times.

Also, you cannot penalize someone for paying less for a hotel with the deluxes get more passes. This would also create an economic divide at the parks. You don't have to wait in line because you spent $50 more a night than me? Not too fair for anyone.

The only way that we thought would work would be something of a revolving system that had 5 resorts at each park get the perk and then rotate the days. New room keys would have to be designed to designate this and all the technology and scanners that Universal has would have to be purchased. But one benefit of this would be that people could no longer have more people in their rooms than are actually registered.

If Disney cared enough, rather than take away perks it would bring on more.

Yes Universal has only 3 resorts. So? Disney's guests aren't all going to be in the FP line at the same time on the same day! There are plenty of places to go and things to do. And in all honesty, I just don't think most of Disney's guests are resort guests.

So, like someone else said before, they don't do it just because they don't want to. Stop covering for Disney and making it more incapable than it really is.

Maybe Disney should have something similar to Universal's VIP Tour.

I'll be willing to pay and extra US$100 per person to have virtually zero lineup for 8 hours. This way I can shave off about 3 days out of my 7-day trip, and in the end save my knees, lower back and ankle.

If you are an annual passholder (Universals) you can sometimes get rooms as low as $99 at the Royal Pacific or $129 at Hard Rock. (hard rock is the only one you can walk to the studios without taking the boat) also, check out Hotel Kingdom.com. what they don't tell you is that the Universal hotels charge $6.00 per day for parking. not much, but I could have used that $60 for other things than parking.
I don't know if they still do it but you use to be able to buy a book of FOTL passes for folks staying off property. I think it was something like $20 for the booklet.
I think Disney is fair enough to their guests. I mean we do get Early Entry and R ride nights. if you play your cards right, you can ride the rides at Universal without waiting long. just get there early, hit the big ones and then go to the back of the park and move twords the front. I stayed at Hard Rock during halloween a few months ago and it is a beautifull hotel. I hate the parking situation ($6.00 per day) and then you have to climb these huge starirs to get to the lobby. I am in great shape and it almost killed me climbing those stairs. there are all kinds of people who go in your rooms. maid, the one who checks the maids work, the refreshment pantry checker and I just don't like alot of people going in my room. if you dont bolt the door, they will walk right in on you. I encountered more rude drunks there (meatheads) and found marijuana ciggarettes on two different occassions. once a half of one lay in the hallway all day long. I called twice before someone would come and pick it up and dispose of it. well, enough rambling. I will stick with the contemporary from now on.

Oh, forgot to say that when we used the FOTL we were able to ride the same ride as many times as we wanted. we rode Men in black several times in a row one day and nobody said a word. same with spiderman.
