Your post raises a question: can you get an AP rate at a resort if you’ve purchased, but not yet activated, an AP?I am going to buy an AP for my trip in September, because I got a very good rate on Dockside 2BR family suite. But I don't have the AP yet and even if I buy it online it needs to be active in order to buy a single day ticket. I'll go with my sister and nephew and I'll buy a 3 days+1 tickets, buy I don't really know how to handle my ticket.
Is there a way to activate the AP online or calling? I don't care if it expires early, I just need it for this trip and the discount.
Maybe I'm good to wait until September, as it's very slow season, but if possible I'd not risk it.
The alternative would be to drop the 2BR, book a timeshare (a Marriot 2BR via II getaways would cost a fraction of the price) and buy tickets for everyone. But I'd rather have the early entry.
I have done it in the past and it was possible. They might check if you have an AP at checkin, but also not. They have once and haven't another.Your post raises a question: can you get an AP rate at a resort if you’ve purchased, but not yet activated, an AP?
I am looking at spring break 2026 and have a few other options to visit the parks, but would like to know if you can book using the AP discount if you’ve not yet set foot in the park on your first visit.
Thank You. So it allows you to book these rates even if your associated account doesn’t have an active AP?I have done it in the past and it was possible. They might check if you have an AP at checkin, but also not. They have once and haven't another.
I've booked assuming it hasn't changed recently and this is still the policy.
Yes.Thank You. So it allows you to book these rates even if your associated account doesn’t have an active AP?
Yes it doesn't check at time of booking.Thank You. So it allows you to book these rates even if your associated account doesn’t have an active AP?
Thanks! Lots of variables here, including how often I think ill use it, and whether / when EU will be includedI’ve done it when I just had regular tickets that I was PLANNING to upgrade to an AP. That particular TM did ask me for my AP number at check-in, and had me go to the customer service desk to go ahead and do the upgrade before they would check me in, but I think technically as long as you upgrade/buy the AP before checkout (and make sure they link that AP to your room) you’d be okay. Otherwise they’ll charge you the current rate, not the rate you COULD have gotten when you booked, so be careful.
In the first year EU will 99% not be included in any AP. In 2026 UK tickets will include EU for length of stay (up to 14 days) so most likely there will be AP including EU too. Thanks! Lots of variables here, including how often I think ill use it, and whether / when EU will be included

The express is already built in. SR is different I believeSorry if I missed if posted, but being reported the Single Rider line for Hagrid's is no more. TM telling guests no more.
SO ..... will they be adding Express line???
I think they are just wondering if Universal is getting ready to add Hagrid's as an attraction under the Express Pass availability. The express is already built in. SR is different I believe
Hagrid's is not an Express attraction. I have only been in two lines, the regular line and the AAP "line". Not sure if the AAP (usually Express line) uses the Single Rider line or not, been a couple years. The express is already built in. SR is different I believe
