We have two Disney trips coming up. One is the week of June 28 and the other is Thanksgiving week. I’m starting to feel FOMO when seeing all the Epic Universe stuff. Thinking about doing Universal the two weekends we arrive each trip. Really don’t know how to handle the tickets. I would love to get seasonal passes since both weekends aren’t blacked out. That leaves me with no Epic in July. Could hopefully buy an Epic single day once Ap’s are activated in July for our Nov. trip. We could also just buy the 3 day ticket with one Epic day but than no AP pricing for resorts, which are like $800 without. Hmmm. Wish they’d just say what the options for single day tickets will be. Or at least let you buy APs and single day Epic tickets without activation.

Why are they still witholding the non-AP single day tickets? Is it because they've sold sufficient packages & AP tickets to keep Epic afloat for this year? I see that all days are not sold out, but realistically they don't need to be completely sell out. The current parks rarely sell out, yet there are always a lot of people inside.

They just spent a lot of money on a Super Bowl ad and it feels like there's been more word of mouth spreading recently (major construction is done, hotels starting to open, previews starting soon, etc). Some suspicion that they may have started filming POV vids. It's anyone's guess as to when they move on from this but they're going to squeeze as much juice out of the current package as they can.

Even before the Super Bowl I've been seeing short commercials mostly focused on the Dark Universe.

Could you buy the 3 day ticket for your first trip, use the Epic entrance the 1st day, and then upgrade your tickets to an ap before your trip ends?

Does anyone know if they will let you upgrade your tickets to an AP if you had the 1 epic day in it an already used? (as I know AP does not include Epic).

I am thinking they will not...for example I tried to upgrade a three park ticket to a two park AP.
They said if I had I used a day of the waterpark they would not let me and I would have to get a three park AP.
Luckily I had not gone to the waterpark.

Still until someone actually tried this I don't think we will get an answer.

I inquired @ GS last week, once @ Studios, once @ IoA

The script was the same.

They will be offering “limited” non-AP tix. Just not until they determine how busy the park will be with the pkg and AP ticket holders.

It was ventured for the date I wanted, the end of June, would be available to purchase sometime in May…if the park isn’t at capacity.

My whine remained the same…

IMO PH who are staying at one of the on-site properties, should be able to buy Epic tix for both themselves and the other guests in the room (non APH).

If anything, APH should be afforded an advance sale on single day tix for their guests before they are released to the general public.

BTW having been to SNW in Osaka, I can now speak to a few of the items offered there. Mario Burger is surprisingly good! Thought the added mushrooms might be a bit odd but it worked. The Super Star Lemon Squash tasted like a warm lemon drop, haven’t really had anything like it. Seems like the park in general will have quite a few unusual things to try.

With regard to non-food reviews, can’t speak to Mine Cart Madness bc I was there a few weeks before it opened. ☹️ Thought I gave myself enough of a gap to cover the opening window when I first scheduled this but apparently not!

I am going to buy an AP for my trip in September, because I got a very good rate on Dockside 2BR family suite. But I don't have the AP yet and even if I buy it online it needs to be active in order to buy a single day ticket. I'll go with my sister and nephew and I'll buy a 3 days+1 tickets, buy I don't really know how to handle my ticket.
Is there a way to activate the AP online or calling? I don't care if it expires early, I just need it for this trip and the discount.

Maybe I'm good to wait until September, as it's very slow season, but if possible I'd not risk it.
The alternative would be to drop the 2BR, book a timeshare (a Marriot 2BR via II getaways would cost a fraction of the price) and buy tickets for everyone. But I'd rather have the early entry.

I don't believe so. I'm pretty sure you have to enter the park for it to be activated.

You can keep your AP room discount with an unactivated AP.

I don't think you can activate your AP online or by phone. But please let us know if you can. There are people who would love to activate remotely in order to purchase the Epic single day tickets.

Last time I called Universal, the rep said that a guest would have to physically walk through a turnstile at UO or IOA in order to activate the AP.

No there isn't a way to activate a pass early. You have to enter the gate for it to activate.

Is this the full list of all the rides? Unfortunately, I already know I shouldn't be riding Stardust Racers and Curse of the Werewolf. What is Dragon Racer's Rally?
The roller coaster for the How to Train Your Dragon world. You can see videos on line of it running.

I think this is everything. Dragon Racer’s Rally is I guess what you would call a spinner of sorts, think they have two of them and it basically just sends you in circles and up and down.

Not the same ride. The coaster is Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.
