Is it worth us paying the price.

DD is 40inches, is there much she can do for the price, really do not want to spend on tickets if not much there for her, plus she will only get upset if i go on an attraction without her. Had that in the past with ToT.

Off the top of my head, there is loads she can do at Universal. IOA is more about the big thrills but certainly your DD should enjoy Universal. The only things I can think that she wouldn't be able to go on are The Mummy and maybe BTTF. It's a great place - go on, you know you want to :)

I now i want to, it has been a few years since i have been, DD was 10 months old, and they would not let her go on the cat in the hat.

So since then we have just stayed in WDW, but after a while you tend to get a little bored of 14 days of magic kingdom :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks, DD is 4, and mad about Disney.

She likes shrek, see what DH thinks when i tell him how much it costs, i might just buy a 4park pass and try seaworld again.

There's a height restriction webpage here. Looks like there's not too much there which is restricted - Mummy is fabulous, but she'd be too young anyway I would imagine, and MiB can be missed out anyway...it's a poor ride IMO.

I'm with wilma, go for it. But make sure YOU do Mummy...just leave DD to get upset. She'll get over it. ;)

At the moment, Universal are doing free entry for kids. If you buy a 2-day 2-park pass ($99.95 + tax each), you get a free kids ticket. We just bought 2 adult tickets and got 2 kids tickets free and it came to about £120.

Don't know if this helps persuade you :)

At the moment, there's no end date for the offer. The tickets are valid until 31st Dec 06 though.

With the online offer at Universal of buy one get one child free, you also get 3 days free as well making it a 5 day pass, so really good value. :goodvibes

Anybody interested in this offer must note that the kids' age limit for the tickets is 9 years old. It is about the only thing I hate about Orlando, having to pay full price once the kids are 10. :sad2:

Agree, it's crazy. :sad2:

You must do Universal :thumbsup2
DD (7) loves it there, and first visited when she was 4 (and a very small 4 at that  )

She loves the water features - Dr Sseuss and Curious George.
I usually take a book and her swimming stuff as she'll happily play there for an hour or more :thumbsup2

Barney, and his indoor play area, is another winner.

There's also the live animal show (can't think of it's name) and Scooby Doo.

Now she's a little taller - still only 46 inches - she loves the Woody Woodpecker roller coaster and the Flying Unicorn and is itching to go on the 'Big coasters'-gonna have to stretch her I reckon for some peace and quiet.......... ;)

Joshua is the same, he loves Woody/Barney/ET/Curious George and Jaws even.
There is more for young children there than many people think.

Animal Planet Live is the show you mention.

Universal is ESSENTIAL for anyone going to Orlando, especially for us Brits travelling so far!

I think its a pity so many people on this board (mainly American's, due to short vacation time??) do not try this place (or Sea World for that matter). Both US/IoA parks are great. I would rank them higher than AK and EPCOT. Seuss Island especially offers a lot for younger children. There is tonnes to do and see.

I agree completley, there has been a steady Disney V. Universal theme for some time (not on the UK forums) which I think is a shame as they are both great in my opinion.
There was one thread which really got quite nasty, I was in the wrong (or right) place at the time and it turns out my 'sitting on the fence' type of come on guys calm down sort of 'speech' actually (much to my surprise) worked :thumbsup2

We are probably more fortunate that we go for longer , as it's our major holiday, and therefore we have the time to see everything.

And there is plenty for kid's , I would say second to Magic Kingdom , Universal Studios is Joshua's favourite - although he is not as keen on IOA.
