HI ALL!

I based on my experience every few days call USO Res. and ask if
the discounted room is available, We were quoted $250 for the HRH on one day and a few days later the rate went down or the Ent. Rate was available $125 Garden View.

Just don't tell them you have a res already and accept the deposit request.
Do this until the day before your refund is still refundable, generally 5 days before arrival on the original res.

To all of you who have been so kind to replay to my initial question...SMOOCHES!! I'm am just amazed at the wealth of information of these boards and the willingness to share!! I have literally saved "hundreds" of dollars on our October trip!!

Bacrd: I have also ended up the winner from posting on your thread--others have added additional info that I have also been able to use.

JessicaR & others: I called this morning and INDEED they now have entertainment rates at Royal Pacific (RPR) for the same night I had a ressie at Portofino (PBR). I say "had" because I went ahead and booked the RPR and cancelled the PBR. I know we'll be saving about $70 or $80 by changing (I owe it all to you guys!) plus I think we will overall be a bit happier. (Rate I got was $119 for standard room, 2 queens). We're pretty middle-of-the-road types and, while PBR looks wonderful, it is probably just enough high-end to make us a little uncomfortable. Plus, we still can go to PBR and HRH, check out the pools, etc.
