Universal vs Disney World

We are a party of eight 70 year olds! We've been to WDW five times and love it. But we don't do big rides, more like we enjoy Festival of the Lion King, Mickeys Philharmagic, Great Movie Ride, and parades. My question is, will we be able to do similar things at Universal? We are considering a one day visit. Only one in our party has read Harry Potter.

Universal is alot of thrill rides.Not neccessarily coasters, but definitely more intense than what Disney offers.There are a few things you guys may be interested in.I would go to UniversalOrlando.com and read the ride descriptions to see if anything suits you.

I believe you would enjoy Universal a lot more than Islands of Adventure. You can probably do most of the attractions at Universal.

I was thinking there would be quite a bit for you to enjoy at Universal. I don't do thrill rides and I enjoyed it. But you should read the ride list and see if its movies and themes you'd enjoy.

The shows alone could make for a great day! But there are definitely rides/attractions that would be fun for you also. The atmosphere in both parks is really terrific to just walk around and enjoy. Harry Potter area is really well done and depending on when you plan to go the 2nd phase may be open.
