Universal virgins....Help!!!

WEll, I look at it this way,,,,,,,, you are walking around a park that thousands of people walk thru every day. Where are you gonna go that is not dirty? The parks are outside! I didn't find IOA or universal to be any dirtier than the disney parks or seaworld or busch gardens.
That said, you could not pay me to go back to Disney( well, maybe) I don't ever want to wait in a line for more than 15 minutes again!! LOL. No thank you!!
I love universal, ioa and of course the onsite resorts. I would like to go to seaworld and busch gardens again, but forget disney for me.

Have been to Universal twice during the July 4th holiday. The parks were packed and we never saw any trash laying around. The parks were always clean. To compare it to Great (Ghetto) Adventure in New Jersey is just totally ridiculous. Universal is as far from that type of atmosphere as you can get!

Universal is definitely no Disney

Yessireee, I agree.

Universal (IOA) has MUCH better thrill rides than Disney! :D

In all honesty, I have to say that I thought IOA was very clean. We were there for the first time in March 2002. I did have a big problem with Epcot. I haven't been to Disney in 20 Years and never to Epcot. We were at Epcot for the first and probably last time in March 2002 and I was so unimpressed. It was very dirty and in need of repairs. There was a door off a bathroom and the bathrooms were filthy. As filthy as some bathrooms I've been in at bars. Some of the attractions were also in serious need of repair and refurbishment. We thought it was the worst way to spend over $50 per person. We should have either went back to IOA a second day or hung by the pool.

I hope I haven't offended anyone, as this was my impression of things. Everyone I know thinks Epcot is wonderful, I just disagree.

I think then it might have been the day I was in the park was not good. I know a lot of people like IoA. I'm not saying I didn't like it, I just thought the day I was there it was dirty. I've been to almost every park on the East Coast as well as to Ohio. It could have been also the type of people that were there that day. It looked like they were accepting food stamps at the gate by the type of people in the park that day. It's just my opinion. :smooth:

Yeah, you are probably right. The type of people visiting affects all aspects of the park experience. However, there is no excuse for overflowing garbage cans. Maybe they were extremely short staffed that period.

Expect a great time not a dirty time at Universal and you won't be disappointed. Early entry is not needed at the parks particularly at the time of year you are going. We were at IOA on Nov. 22 without front of line access and here is what we encountered to start our day: Hulk - waited for next coaster, Spiderman - walked right on, Spiderman - walked right on again, Jurassic Park - walked right on, Dueling Dragons - Fire, walked right on, Ice - walked right on. Pretty much the entire day went like that except to see the Grinch and I might be wrong, but I do not think the Grinch had front of the line - just one long painful line.
