Universal using return time tickets for Minions today

So today while here I saw them trying out return time tickets for Minions. Not through the app though. They were doing paper tickets like Disney used to do for FP.

But they were doing it for different gaps of hours and other hours they opened the queue for regular standby.

Seemed to be confusing the hell out of a lot of guests.

Express Pass was not impacted though.

I wonder if they're going to replace those rides with low capacity with a queueless system.

Good, we can all avoid sweating in that 70 minute queue.

This should work well for low capacity rides or rides where people are let in together in large groups (Minions, Fallon, Terminator, etc) but probably not for the continually loading rides (Forbidden Journey, Transformers, Gringotts, etc)
