Does anyone know where we can get touring plans for Universal Studios?

This is our first trip to Universal and I would like to have some plan of attack before we get there. There are plans all over the place for WDW, but I'm having a little trouble finding plans for Universal.

If anyone knows of anywhere to get some, that would be great. :goodvibes

When are you going? Are you staying onsite. How many days are you planning on being at the parks? Do you like thrill rides? What ages are in your party?

We are going to Orlando from 4/3 to 4/8. We are only doing Universal for one day on 4/4. The rest of the days are at WDW, where we are staying at Old Key West. In our party we have Me32, DW33, DS6, DD3, DS1, BIL36, and MIL65 & FIL65. The "adults" (if you can call us that) love thrill rides, but we want the kids to have fun too.

We are trying to decide if Uinversal or IOA would be more fun for the kids - I'm sure the "adults" will have a good time at either.

WDW has a plethora of touring plans, but I'm having a little more difficult time with finding Universal Plans. I am developing a pretty good plan of attack for WDW, and I would like to try to develop a plan for Universal too. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, or maybe there is just a lot more info out there on WDW than Universal?

By the way, robvia, thanks for your ideas. That is definitely helpful.

Any more suggestions that anybody has would be appreciated. :goodvibes

We're going to USO and IoA for the first time in March. I discovered there are rather nice touring plans tucked in the back of Sehlinger's (sp?) Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World.

Have fun! I know we can't wait. Only 25 more days!

This would be my plan. If you are staying onsite then forget my plan because with front of the line priveleges, you won't need a plan. Arrive at the entrance gate at 8:30. The park usually opens 15-30 minutes early so forget arriving at 9:00 AM opening. Ride Hulk and then ride Spiderman .

After Spiderman walk through Toon Lagoon and pick up express passes for Dudley. Pick the latest return time that it offers you. Then keep walking through Toon Lagoon without riding anything.

Enter Jurassic Park and have two adults take the 3 and 6 year old on Pteranodon Flyers if the line isn't too long. The other adults can go on Jurassic Park River Adventure while they are on P. Flyers and child swap with the baby on JP River Adventure. Then the other adults should be off P. Flyers with the 3 and 6 year old. Those two adults can then go on JP River Adventure while the adults take the 3, 6, and 1 year old into Discovery Center.

Now on to Lost Continent. Ride Dueling Dragons and child swap for this. Then do Poseidon's Fury with the whole family, stop and visit with the Mystic Fountain. Time for lunch. You can eat at Mythos in Lost Continent if you want a nice sitdown meal. If you want to eat cheaper with fast food but great atmosphere, go eat at Oak Tree Tavern across from Dueling Dragons.

Now onto Suess Landing. Ride everything there with the kids, especially Cat in the Hat and Red Fish/Blue Fish. Skip "If I ran the Zoo." (you'll be back later for that.)

After Suess, go across the bridge back toward Hulk. Go through Marvel Super Hero Island. If Spiderman, doesn't have a wait, then ride it again, otherwise keep going until you enter Toon Lagoon. Use your express pass to ride Dudley while the 1 and 3 year old go to Me Ship Olive to play with any adult who didn't want to do Dudley. If all adults want to do Dudley, then just do child swap at Dudley. Next is Popeye's, you will get wet, soaking wet, when you ride it. Once again the little kids will be entertained at Me Ship Olive.

If you still have some time, re-ride your favorite rides as single riders while the other adults just go back to Suess with the kids. Let the kids play in "If I ran the Zoo" play area while the adults rest and dry off. Meet up with the rest of your party at "If I ran the Zoo."

WOW!

Thanks for the great ideas. Phamtom, you basically planned my day for me, thank you.

This is what I love about the DISboards, everyone is more than willing to lend a hand.

The countdown is under 5 weeks and I can't wait!

Thanks again everybody!
