Universal to Disneyland - traffic and when to drive

Hi,
Does anyone have experience driving from Universal Hollywood to Disneyland? Debating whether to make the drive around 6pm on a Sat in Sept or early Sun (like 7am) morning. Thoughts?

Both are fine. It's weekdays that are horrendous.

Weekends are horrible too.
But I believe the early morning (7 am) would be better than 6 pm.

We left around 7:15am on a Wednesday in February and it took us two hours to get to Universal from Fullerton. Avoid at all costs haha

If you’re planning on visiting Disneyland on the Sunday, leave Saturday evening. Could be an hour, could be 2 but whatever it is, just put up with it as it’s far better to stay in Anaheim the night before visiting the parks.

Team Saturday evening! It can be a toss up as far as whether you will run into traffic, but I would opt for driving at night any day of the week. Plus you will already be settled in and can get to the park early the next day. There are lots of affordable hotels really close to the park!

Sunday morning will have little or no traffic… Saturday evening has a higher potential for traffic
